We found this place on the last night of our stay in Venice. It surpassed, by a distance, the other (not bad) restaurants we had eaten in. Great food, hot and plentiful, in warm, comfortable surroundings with friendly, helpful service. Highly recommended.

A very comfortably furnished restaurant with exceptionally friendly service and excellent value for money. Because of this, we visited this restaurant twice. The menu offers a wide selection. The chef even offered to debone the sea bass at our table. A visit is highly recommended.

The staff is very kind and welcoming, and the food is excellent! The cuttlefish in ink with polenta and the Venetian-style liver were delicious...my husband even had seconds! Highly recommended!

If I could, I'd give it 10 stars. Excellent service and delicious food. Everyone is super friendly and the menu is very varied. I definitely recommend it.

Yes GLUTEN FREE options! Wonderful careful staff (they boil fresh water for gf pasta). The sarde in saor and whipped cod were my list to try in Venice. GF, delicous and served w polenta so I could enjoy. Also a few slices of gf bread! I had gf spaghetti w black scuttlefish sauce. Loved it! What a delight to try 3 Venetian specialties in one meal! (They do have gf pizza crust, store bought like in all Venice restaurants)

Historic restaurant with rustic, pleasant decor. Alvise's spaghetti is excellent, and the pizza is good. Excellent service. Reasonable prices.

03/12/2025: It's a tiny pastry shop with high tables and a counter for a quick bite. Everything is delicious and homemade. It's definitely worth stopping here for breakfast. The staff is friendly and will explain everything if you have any questions.
20/11/2025: I had a croissant with pistachio cream. The cream was rich, not too sweet, and delicious. It cost about 2.20 euros. Anyway, I'll definitely go back if I ever come back to Venice.^^

25/10/2025: A real Italian restaurant. Very good food, warm and attentive welcome. Note: tip must be added to the bill 💜
18/10/2025: A beautiful restaurant off the beaten path with a great selection of local fare. There are both fish and meat appetizers, pastas, and entrees. We were greeted with a refreshing glass of grapefruit and ginger ale and a small plate of thinly sliced smoked salmon drizzled with olive oil. We ordered prosciutto and cuttlefish risotto to start. Both were delicious. Entrees were turbot and branzino. When we declined dessert, we were given a plate of cookies and merengue. Don't miss it!
