This is in a quiet street and easy to miss which would be a shame. We had a very pleasant lunch here. It started with just four clients but after 1pm it became full very quickly. A choice of pasta and it was the best ragu ever (alas I only had a small sample as it was my husband's dish)! I thoroughly enjoyed the anchovies with artisan bread Fantastic fresh insalata mista. Good sangiovese and espressi. Friendly, efficient staff. Love the décor.

An excellent restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Ravenna. A wonderfully quiet place, but with really good food. Delicious roast veal, good wine. Lovely fresh berries tart for dessert. Our best meal in four nights in Ravenna.

Caffè Pasticceria Palumbo

30/03/2024: We stopped today for lunch in this bar after seeing: Dante's house/museum/tomb.. the bar is adjacent and located in Piazza S. Francesco. We tried two types of grasses.. try them then tell me.. One with ricotta and vegetables.. and 1 with vegetables.. as they were good we even made an encore, they can also be reheated.. I ate them cold accompanied by a prosecco.
25/02/2024: Oggi dopo alcune visite alla Ravenna bizantina mi sono fermato qui per un caffè. L'ho preso al banco perché avevo fretta. Il caffè era buono e il servizio solerte. La pasticceria deve essere di antica tradizione e si trova sulla piazza San Francesco, una delle piazze del centro storico. Tuttavia il locale mi ha messo un po' tristezza. C'era una vetrina con qualche dolce che non ho assaggiato e pochissimi avventori.

03/01/2024: A very intimate, family-run restaurant, which recalls the taste of the ancient Romagna tradition. Very close to the Riolo fortress and the parking lot behind it. The choice of wines is excellent: the local one on tap throughout the meal is good but also the bottled one, very suitable for the local menu. The dishes in the kitchen have a "strong character" and are well prepared. The price is honest. The atmosphere is homely and informal. It feels comfortable. We will be back soon.
