We had a wonderful time at their restaurant! We stumbled upon lunch here almost by chance on Sunday, July 19, 2026, after visiting the Monviso adventure park (just above the village). They even let us sit without a reservation. There are tables both inside and outside, but in the heat and sun of lunchtime, it's best to sit inside. The menu includes three types of polenta (polenta with stewed sausage, or with stew, or concia). They're all delicious, and the desserts (we had the bonèt and the tiramisu, which you can also order half a portion because the portions are so generous) were delicious. The staff is made up of young men and women, very kind, friendly, and super helpful. Well done everyone!

The hotel is fantastic, the welcome and the food impeccable. The team is wonderful. A special thank you to Matteo. Matteo Curti, a young guide who's already a legend! ⛰️ We were four beginner climbers/mountaineers, with only a few climbs under our belts. Our trusted guide, Jean Demacar, had recommended 25-year-old Matteo. Given his age, we set off with a bit of apprehension… which vanished from the very first moment. Matteo is a young climber… literally and figuratively! He's currently working on the first 8c+ in Italy, a level that seems a world away from our modest 5s and 6as. Our adventure began on Monte Rosa with the Vincent Pyramid, the Margherita Refuge (4,554 m), and several other peaks. A fantastic warm-up before heading to Piedmont and Crisolo for another objective: Monviso (3,841 m), a superb rock climb, very different from glacier mountaineering. During these 10 days, Matteo was exceptional. Competent, passionate, patient, and always in good spirits, he enthusiastically took the time to share his knowledge. I learned a tremendous amount from him: hauling techniques, cramponing, rope work… and many other essential skills. Beyond his expertise, I will especially remember his infectious smile, his kindness, and his incredible maturity for only 25 years old. Thank you, Matteo, for your commitment, your passion, and these unforgettable moments. I sincerely hope to return to the mountains with you soon! If you are looking for a competent, patient, and personable guide, I highly recommend him.

A fantastic experience! The family who runs it is very friendly. The rooms are simple but have all the necessary comforts. A little bonus for those interested: the father and one of the sons are high-mountain guides. They know their region perfectly, they are excellent teachers, and you progress safely with their guidance! Probably the best guides I've ever met!

Welcoming place, helpful and courteous service. It's a shame the dinner was too expensive for what was served. This aspect needs to be reconsidered.

The best hotel to stay in, both in summer and winter! A family-run establishment steeped in history where you're welcomed with a genuine smile and rare kindness. The cuisine is authentic, generous, and excellent. The location is ideal: surrounded by the majestic Monviso, just minutes from Pian del Re and the famous Po springs, as well as beautiful, typical villages. You feel right at home. A must-stay that I highly recommend!

I ate very well, the view was wonderful.

The room was dated, like the rest of the property, and therefore had a vaguely musty odor, and the pillow was uncomfortable. We found a hair in a croissant at breakfast and in a slice of meat at dinner. Two in one day, I'd say, too many. Through the half-open kitchen door, I noticed that staff were inside without headphones. The location is excellent and strategic. Considering the price, I would have expected more. Roberto Santoni
