07/01/2026: It was the only restaurant open! We sat down, waiting for the rather gruff owner's approval! The only one who felt comfortable was the very kind and sociable younger waiter. During the meal, the owner came over to ask us questions and joked around, as if we were his family. Meanwhile, the chef kept staring at us! At the end of the meal, they kept insisting we order more dessert and coffee! Once we were finished and ready to pay, they made an excuse that the POS terminal was broken and that we had to pay in cash. Once we paid in cash, the waiter told us that the owner (the manager) was busy, and we waited about ten minutes for the bill and the receipt to arrive! Once we got up to leave, the owner put his arms around our shoulders and said, "Good?" As if we were one of his relatives. Everything else, the food was delicious. If you have to go to Mamma Lia's, I recommend the Piedmontese ravioli or the polenta! Really good.
