Ristorante Cinese La Pagoda In Verona

After touring Italy for two weeks and indulging in great Italian cuisine, our group of four wanted something different. This Chinese restaurant is located a short walk from Piazza Erbe. It doe not have the view to any historical sites, no impressive outdoor seating. It does have wonderful air conditioning on a warm day, and very friendly service. Our waitress didn't seem to speak English much, so it was a blessing that the owner spoke Mandarin Chinese. That made communicating a lot easier. We ordered a la carte off the menu. So many varieties. Asked the owner for some recommendation, and settled on several items. Really liked the lemon chicken, superb lemon flavor. Also got the potstickers and steamed dumplings. The stuffing was beef and not the usual pork based we are accustom to. The stir fry vegetables was very nice, along with a beef dish. Very affordable, ended up with 25 Euros per couple, including all the table service, beverages, etc.

While in Verona, my family went there twice. Cantonese fried rice was really good. We ordered sweet and sour pork, sweet and sour chicken (not fried chicken), and last but not least fried calamari. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Reasonable price. There’s no reason not to go. If you want to eat Korean food, be sure to try it. There is no Korean restaurant nearby, but the fried rice and sweet and sour pork are delicious. There is no unique scent. Friendly and clean. The price of fried rice was 5 euros.

Lovely Chinese restaurant. Over 20 years in Verona. Traditional Chinese cuisines. Friendly and supportive staffs. Very patient to explain menu. Very nice atmosphere. Busy period recommend booking and reservation.

The smallest portion of food for any restaurant. Two people with 35 euros still very hungry afterward. Would not recommend.
