Nothing special. Honestly, I expected better. Average-quality food.

We dined at Chez Nous restaurant last night. Besides the excellent typical Aosta Valley dishes, we also want to thank the man who served us, who was very kind and knowledgeable. We chose two menus to try more, and everything was excellent! From the appetizers of cured meats and cheeses, to the polenta concia with various meat selections and soup, for dessert we tried a panna cotta, which was also very good.

In my opinion, when you leave your hometown, it's a must to seek out typical restaurants to fully enjoy the local specialties. Well, I hit the nail on the head: I found an intimate, authentic place that lacks nothing, even in terms of attentiveness, helpfulness, and professionalism. Three menus were offered, and then the à la carte menu. As soon as I entered, I was immediately enveloped by the aroma of polenta, the old-fashioned kind, reminiscent of smoke: the first confirmation that I was in the right place. Once the dishes arrived, it was impossible for everyone at the table to contain their amazement! Second confirmation. ...and shortly thereafter, the tasting. Third confirmation. I enjoyed the platter (mocetta, salami, speck, and lard), the Valdostane crepes (crêpes with cooked ham, fontina, and béchamel), and the polenta concia with carbonada...and finally, despite realizing I'd missed something by looking at the others' desserts, preferring "savory" anyway, I enjoyed another course of polenta...that polenta with that rare aroma and flavor. There's no need to say more about the authenticity, the level of the truly authentic, unsurpassed flavors! ...and let's not even talk about the portions; satisfying is an understatement! I should point out, regarding the abundance offered by Chez Nous' cuisine, that I'm a big eater, and even so, half of what I ate would be enough to fill me up, but I managed to go further given the extraordinary dishes available that I couldn't miss... ...and the satisfaction was truly immense. Extremely high quality, quantities hard to find elsewhere, fair prices—what more could you ask for? In short, my heartfelt congratulations to the staff at this little place, which I'll be returning to very soon, bringing friends. Family-run (father serving polenta and meats, mother serving pasta and desserts, and children serving), the perfect team! Thank you, dear friends. A restaurant completely out of the way, but at the foot of the hill leading to Ussel Castle. The traditional menu is excellent, and the mixed antipasto of cured meats and cheeses and the crespella are very good. The pear tart is also good. Generous portions and average prices.

I gave it five stars because six isn't possible. My wife and I ordered the menu with polenta and a crepe. Everything was excellent, but the carbonada was SU-PER-LA-TIVE!!! Even in terms of quantity, I couldn't finish the dinner with dessert because I was so full. By the way, dessert was replaced with an unforgettable mountain pine liqueur. All in all, I applaud you.

We had lunch at this restaurant and had a truly wonderful time! The food is excellent, carefully prepared, and truly delicious. The portions are generous, and the value is excellent. Special mention also goes to the staff: friendly, smiling, and always available, they made us feel welcomed from start to finish. If we return to the area, it will definitely be a regular stop. Highly recommended!

A small, family-run restaurant surrounded by greenery, far from the traffic of the main towns. Excellent dinner with typical Aosta Valley dishes, everything delicious. The staff who served us were very kind and attentive. We hope to see you again soon. Highly recommended. =D
