A historic restaurant in central Rome, renowned for its boiled meats, but also offering more classic Roman dishes, perceived by a local as "for tourists," who frequent it a lot given its location. I'm giving it three stars because the boiled meats didn't meet my expectations: the meat arrived cold, unfortunately difficult to digest given the amount of fat. The cuts of meat were among the more common ones, and the price (€28 per person for the boiled meat) seemed a bit high for the dish served. The wine list was decent, but the grappa, which at least wasn't added to the bill, was on par with the worst discounter. All in all, the food wasn't bad, but I wouldn't return.

I found a restaurant with very good traditional Italian dishes and a varied menu. The waiters were kind and helpful, and the restaurant manager was also friendly and eager to accommodate guests' needs. A decidedly positive experience.

It's a shame we stumbled upon such an atmospheric restaurant on our last day in Rome. Besides the incredible culinary experience at affordable prices, I felt truly special thanks to the professional and friendly waitstaff. Thank you for everything; I'll definitely be back someday.

What a breath of fresh air this place is. Traditional Italian restaurant serving traditional food prepared by locals.
We had some food disbalance from our lunch at another place so we only went for seasoned olives 🫒 and mixed salad along with fried vrittas. We weren't disappointed thought. The taste was top quality.
The waiters were very friendly and entertaining and I wish we can speak Italian for even better communication.
Traditionally decorated with lot's of space between tables so you don't feel like in a tin of anchovies.

Without a doubt, the best restaurant in all of Rome. I've eaten there twice and the food was absolutely top-notch. I ordered generous appetizers, and they were truly filling. Excellent value. If you're Argentinian, order the Fernet; it's as delicious as the one in Córdoba. If I ever return to Rome, this will definitely be the first restaurant I go to.

A piece of Roman history. A benchmark for good food and old-fashioned service. I highly recommend it for sampling traditional Bolognese specialties and more!
