05/08/2025: I've never tasted pizza like this, definitely the best in Marina di Carrara. I've been spending summers there for over 20 years. Highly digestible. Intimate place and very friendly service. They also make traditional local dishes upon request.
29/07/2025: Pizzeria by the slice, also offering table service. Wood-fired oven, pizza and pan-fried focaccia (farinata) are delicious and excellent.

05/08/2025: Welcoming place, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food. I've rarely tasted such high-quality fish, cooked to perfection. The side of tasty vegetables (not frozen) deserves special mention. I'll definitely be back.
12/07/2025: We had lunch on a Saturday. Despite arriving significantly late due to a traffic jam on the highway, the owner was very kind in holding our reservation, and the staff had no problem serving us past the afternoon closing time. The food, as always, was excellent. We ordered seafood risotto and mixed grill. We'll definitely be back; Ippopotamus is a must-visit for us every time we're in Marina di Massa.
