We were with the family on Sunday for lunch. Cattini (Catein) never disappoints!!!! We have been coming here for over 20 years and it remains the best traditional restaurant in Reggio Emilia. Monica is always very kind and the dishes are amazing. The trolley of boiled and roasted meats is unsurpassed for choice and quality. The trolley of side dishes is also very well stocked and always present mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, their fantastic mustard, green and red sauce. Wide choice of desserts, all excellent and wines. A certainty!!! Well done

Typical restaurant of the first hills of Reggio Emilia. We were there for lunch on May 1st, a truly vintage place with traditional cuisine done very well. We tried the green tortelli, the roasts and the boiled meats. All very good including the return ones. A restaurant-trattoria like in the past. With a good bottle (superior Sangiovese), two waters, two coffees, €40 each. Two much appreciated tastings arrived from the kitchen with great courtesy: ravioli sautéed with butter and a mascarpone dessert. We will undoubtedly return.

First time at this place.
The dishes are good and plentiful.
Fast and attentive service, kindness and friendliness.
Definitely a tournament, recommended.
My thoughts on some negative reviews.
If you want a service with impeccable waiters and a helpful maitre d', only frequent super starred restaurants, it is not possible to exchange a witty and ready to joke person with a grumpy and rude one.
Or go and live in the Canadian forests among the Bears.

Uno dei miei ristoranti preferiti.
Ristorante tipico emiliano.La loro specialità è un fornitissimo carrello dicessi con salse e contorni.Tutta carne ottima.Ci sono anche varietà di primi emiliani ,come tortelli di vario tipo.
Mentre attendi le pietanze ,viene subito un assaggio di salume e altri piccoli antipasti.
Ottimi anche i dolci.Peraonale molto gentile e celere.Meglio prenotare.Adatto anche ai bambini.Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
