Ristorante Calpurnio In Gaeta

Truly a superlative experience in every sense: for the quality of the dishes, the kindness and helpfulness of the waiters, the speed of service and the location! We have been going to this restaurant for years and I must say that every time they try to change the dishes on the menu: this time I wanted to try the pasta "Il Barone" with octopus which was really excellent, others tried another pasta dish "Il Borgo" which was equally good. And what about the fried pizza (the nuvolette), the aubergine meatballs, the grilled filleted sea bream (it was a large portion!!) and the mozzarella in carrozza? We devoured everything in a short time... Prices absolutely in line with the location and quality! However, I feel I must give one piece of advice: book in advance and try to arrive between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm at the latest!

Central location and easy to reach on foot. It offers a beautiful view of Gaeta. Good food and the staff is always kind and ready to satisfy the requests of the customers. To try and return with friends and relatives.

We had tagliolini with mussels and sea bream for dinner and it was delicious!

Saturday May 10th for dinner with my family we ate Pizza, high crispy and topped with truly exceptional quality ingredients. We will return soon.

A restaurant with splendid sea views and impeccable service we ate Divinely. I recommend it to anyone who finds themselves spending time in Gaeta.

I RECOMMEND THE SPAGHETTI WITH CLAMS AND THE FRIED DRINKS

Well presented restaurant with friendly and polite staff. The cuisine is excellent, you immediately notice the freshness of the fish. I recommend the fresh pasta with scampi and pistachio pesto and the pizza which has a 72 hour leavening period.

Posto informale per un pasto dignitoso. Relativamente a quanto ordinato, i piatti sono accettabili. Rapporto qualità prezzo sufficiente. Servizio buono. Il pesce in parte non molto saporito. Non avevo eccessive pretese,perciò non me la sento di essere troppo critico. Mi riservo un eventuale ritorno per mangiare la pizza

Il locale si trova nella Gaeta medievale e dispone sia di una veranda esterna, ampia ed anonima, e di una sala all’interno di uno storico palazzo molto più caratteristica ma più piccola. Ho provato la loro pizza ed ho apprezzato molto l’impasto, veramente ben fatto, soffice e leggero, un po’ meno i condimenti, in particolare quello della pizza che porta il nome del locale, manca il legame tra mozzarella, salame piccante ed olive. Servizio semplice e veloce, prezzi bassi. Ideale per una serata tra amici.
