Dinner with 2 traditional menus and 3 glasses of wine 105 euros.
Refined environment, well furnished restaurant in a street in the historic center of Ferrara. We had dinner taking their menu with traditional proposals;
Platter of cured meats and fried gnocco as an appetizer: Good quality cured meats and decent fried gnocco. Without infamy and without praise.
Encore of first courses with cappellacci with ragù and pasticcio alla Ferrarese: Excellent encore of first courses, nothing to say among the best tasted in the restaurants of Ferrara.
Second Half portion of salama with mashed potatoes.
Excellent mashed potatoes, smooth and prepared to perfection, the salama was of a good standard, it's a pity that the mashed potatoes were served at room temperature.
Dessert of your choice: Tiramisu cup for me (It wasn't bad but I don't understand why you put chocolate topping in a tiramisu without specifying it in the menu or saying it before) and tenerina (good but in my opinion slightly behind in cooking).
The quality/price ratio can be there. What disappointed me is the service, apart from the owner who welcomes you and accompanies you to the table I saw a little too much inexperience in the other guys who made up the staff, demonstrated by the fact that they didn't hold the bottle of wine in their hands in the right way. Right.
I would have liked the dishes served to have been introduced and explained a little because we, being locals, knew them, but putting myself in the shoes of a tourist, I didn't really like the service of bringing the dish and leaving it at the table.
A waiter had obvious difficulties with English at a table next to us and none of his colleagues came to his aid.
I would come back to try other dishes and give it another chance!

Excellent restaurant in the center of Ferrara. My boyfriend and I opted for the typical Ferrara menu. The best tender cake I have ever eaten! Excellent value for money.

After colleagues invited us to the restaurant and it was noticed, we went back the next day. Wonderfully fine food, great wines and nice staff. From now on our favorite trattoria in Ferrara.

I booked here as a first time visitor to Ferrara and was eager to try the typical cuisine. I found this traditional cuisine place mentioned in several places including the Michelin Guide and Gambero Rosso but I wonder why.
We tried various dishes including the appetizer with fried dumplings, tortellini in broth, the pasta casket, salami with sauce, etc... Even if on paper the menu had excellent premises, unfortunately nothing lived up to our expectations in as we found it all rather anonymous in execution.
Furthermore, although the restaurant was well furnished and pleasant, it did not seem consistent with the traditional menu offered. The quality/price ratio doesn't seem adequate to me.

Modern and refined environment. Welcome at the entrance with style that enhances the deserved level worthy of the presence in the Michelin guide. Excellent dishes including the tasting of the traditional salama da sugo served with purée, a typical Ferrara dish.

A calm environment suitable for refined cuisine that seems from other times and yet is today. Between local flavors and truffles, tradition and research. I've been there a couple of times before giving my opinion and I confirm my vote. Well done.

We went there for dinner with a reservation.
The table was a little elevated but nice and directly opposite was the entrance area and to the left is the owner at the cash desk.
Did. Ordering could work better so that the same dish doesn't come twice.
Otherwise the food was fresh and tasted good too.
Day Restaurant was not busy making it pleasant to chat and enjoy the food.
The wine was also very good.
As I said, I commented a little when I paid at the cash register. (Because I got the starter and main course straight away, that was the menu)
The boss's reaction wasn't very impressive.
