We chose this place from the Michelin guide website. Once we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the owner. The place is very clean, minimal, really well-kept.
Unfortunately, the food didn't excite us that much.
As an appetizer we had fried gnocchi with ham, accompanied by cheese and pickled onions. To tell the truth, the amount of cheese and onions did not correspond to the number of gnocchi and slices of ham: we practically had to eat some gnocchi without cheese because there wasn't enough.
The ravioli stuffed with carbonara and asparagus, in our opinion, didn't pair very well and didn't convince us. Instead, we liked the spaghetti with ragù. The desserts were average.
There isn't a wide selection of wines, so don't expect rosé or particular labels. The bill is in line with the service, but not entirely with the quality of the food.
The place was suggested to us by the Agriturismo where we were staying. Never has advice been so spot on. However, I feel like suggesting to those who go there, just to avoid feeling embarrassed like we did, that it is a superior category place and having a dress code more tending towards the everyday tourist rather than long trousers would perhaps avoid embarrassment. Having made this brief preamble HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Very well-kept place, staff with a precision and courtesy that is truly Top. The owner overcame the initial embarrassment, very courteous and conversational. We had an appetizer of mixed cold cuts and fried gnocco that were really good. The fried gnocco was divine and light. I do not recommend taking the salama da sugo in the evening to avoid the wild boar staying on your stomach all night, but if I had the opportunity I would definitely go back to eat some more. The zuppa inglese was not of the same quality as the previous courses but certainly of value. I would happily go back again

I would have given full 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that we asked for an extra bottle of water and they didn't bring it, then when it came to the bill we didn't realize that they had charged us 2 and if you consider that in these parts it costs 3 euros the mistake is conspicuous.
However, apart from this lightness, it is a welcoming and well-furnished place, comfortable with a typical menu that satisfies even the most demanding.
Highly recommended especially for those like us who are in Ferrara for many stays a year.

Saturday evening with friends in this excellent restaurant in the centre of Ferrara. The modern location creates a welcoming atmosphere and the staff is professional, attentive but informal, which makes the experience even more pleasant and relaxed. The kitchen offers typical dishes of the local tradition and revisited.
Special mention for the desserts: exceptional! I will definitely be back!

Bel ristorante, curato ma con qualche pecca (una portata aveva il piatto sbeccato).
Menù: piatti della tradizione leggermente rivisitati. buona qualità dei prodotti.
Servizio: vuole tendere ad un Michelin e ci si avvicina, ma senza arrivarci. tutti molto cortesi e professionali.
Vini: carta corposa, ma con cantine a volte particolari. Se si è esaurita qualche bottiglia sarebbe meglio segnalarlo prima.
Prezzo: circa 80€/persona per 2 portate ed un dolce (con vino da 55€)
un ristorante in centro elegante e di buona qualità. assolutamente consigliato se si cerca quel tipo di ristorante.

Ristorante con cucina tradizionale emiliana in una location bella e sistemata.
Antipasto per due anche troppo abbondante, con salumi di ottima qualità.
Lo scrigno di tortellini, piatto speciale, sicuramente da provare.
Tortelli con tartufo ottimi.
Servizio leggermente veloce.
Conto onesto per la qualità della materia prima.
