Third really bad experience. I don't know what happened, if they changed chefs or what, but they definitely lost some customers. Mussel sauté (according to the owner "exceptional"...) truly terrible, with very small and dried-up mussels, unpresentable. Tagliolini with seafood is more tomato-based than seafood-based. But the icing on the cake was the second course. While the first two times we didn't give in to the lady's insistence, this time we let ourselves be tempted by the "catch of the day" proposal. A snapper of no more than 7 hg arrived, surrounded by cooked potatoes, tomatoes and Taggiasca olives. knows when and warmed up, therefore hard and dry. The snapper without any flavor or seasoning, paid a whopping 50 euros. An appetizer, a first course and a second course 100.00 euros. I'm very sorry, we thought we had found our "place of the heart" but that wasn't the case. Eating so badly at such a high price, especially in Velletri? Never again.

Pranzo di Natale in famiglia...locale pieno di gente...personale qualificato e competente.. Il cibo di ottima qualità, pochissima attesa tra una portata e un'altra! Torneremo sicuramente!!

I have been to the restaurant several times, the quality-price restaurant is AMAZING. I really enjoyed it and recommend it, especially for parties, graduations or birthdays.

I have re-evaluated this restaurant, the food is excellent, the staff are friendly, Mrs. Tiziana is always ready and available without taking anything away from the other collaborators. The food varies between meat and fish and the dishes are delicious

Se avessi dato retta ad alcune recensioni non sarei entrata e invece ci ho mangiato bene… Bruschetta ai porcini buona ben presentata ed in buoni tempi nonostante fosse in pieno sabato sera Soute di cozze (si lo ammetto qui ho esagerato che non si ordina cibo di mare in zone di montagna) ma devo dire che il soute era ben fatto ed abbondante nelle porzioni. Patate fritte nella media ma piaciute.

18/01/2025: Surrounded by greenery, pizza topped with excellent quality ingredients, the same for the very good supplì, all the light and digestible fried food.... the owner and the girls at the service are always kind
25/12/2024: I was here at the Balbi tavern for dinner and I had a great time, the staff were really friendly, the food was delicious and very varied and vast. The environment is nice and familiar. I highly recommend it.

05/11/2024: This pizzeria is particular: it belongs to a category known in Civitavecchia as "ghetto style" (name derived from the first pizzeria of its kind, which is located in the Civitavecchia ghetto and bears its name) due to the way of making and serving pizza : little selection (in fact there isn't even a menu), by weight, and served on paper without plates or cutlery, therefore strictly with your hands. For the occasion you will be provided with numerous napkins. If this isn't a problem for you, you will find yourself in a nice, welcoming and quite classic place, but it would be ideal to book in advance and specify whether inside or outside, otherwise you risk that the only table available is one so narrow that you won't be able to sit at one. in front of each other. As for the pizza, as mentioned you will have little choice available, and you order by weight. However, that little selection is put to good use. As they say, quality over quantity. Although due to personal preference I prefer other types of pizza, Paolillo is still something not to be ignored, especially the slightly acidic taste of the mozzarella he uses for the margherita, very pleasant and appetizing. Tomato is used in large quantities in red pizza, and the dough is a little thick. The only criticism I feel like making is the almost always burnt and narrow edges. So, if you like them, unfortunately it is very likely that you will have to discard them. A fundamental warning: freshly made pizza, especially if with tomato or Nutella, is HOT and you risk causing second degree burns on the palate. No, I'm not exaggerating. So be patient and wait for it to cool down a bit or, if you are really impatient, blow and/or use a mini-fan if you have one. Basically this pizzeria is a bit of an acquired taste. Not my favorite even though I'm quite happy to go back, but it could be yours. The only way to find out is to try at least once.
