Ristorante Borgo Casato In Castelnuovo berardenga

Structured located in the heart of Chianti and close to the Val d'Orcia and Siena. Outside, the structure is very well maintained and cared for, with a beautiful swimming pool. Too bad the staff is hasty and unwelcoming. The customer is left very much to his own devices. Standard rooms, clean and without too many pretensions. The restaurant didn't impress us: for the price we definitely expected another level. Breakfast: espresso coffee and any cappuccino or other hot drinks are not included in the offer (only American coffee).

We stayed in this farmhouse for 6 days in mid-September and we felt at home. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean room and bathroom, wonderful view and high-quality restaurant. We had dinner there three out of six evenings and every time everything was excellent. Also very particular and really good wines. We felt truly pampered and hope to be able to return soon!

We had the most amazing wedding at Podere Casato. Everyone was very accommodating, the views were picturesque, the food was great and the rooms were lovely. So very happy we had our wedding at such a pretty location! Pia was very helpful throughout!

The lady at front reception was amazing she helped with booking in the tourist bike ride even when they weren’t open, she also went out of her way to pick us up from a venue so we could make our dinner reservation as we could get a cab. The grounds and food are amazing and the rooms are clean and fresh. Really loved our time here, will be back.

We went for dinner last night, booking at the last minute, they welcomed us with kindness, a spectacular dinner, a beautiful place, the owner was kind and helpful. Thank you for a nice evening, Pizzeria da Manu.

There are no words.... everything perfect. A real riot of flavours. The dishes I tasted were truly special. Enchanting location, breathtaking view. Definitely coming back.

Unique experience, courtesy and professionalism at the same time. All crowned by an excellent dinner in all aspects, especially in the leavened products (bread and pizza).

The brief from my wife was a hotel in an historic building with a swimming pool, garden, great views, quiet location and good restaurant. Podere Casato has all of these and more. We arrived a little early for check in and were greeted by warmly by the family and had a glass of white wine made from the Sangiovese grape! Dinner both nights was exceptional as was the wine. The owner is the chef and the winemaker and much of what was offered was made on the property. Home made conserves and a whole honeycomb on the breakfast table. Bread made and baked on site. People have commented negatively about ‘rules’ but do you want glasses and bottles or unaccompanied children round the pool? No! Also about the attitude of staff. We experienced nothing but great kindness and friendship. We wish Podere Casato great success.
