Erika and Alessandro are two magnificent and extremely helpful people, it's nice to talk to them and stay in their little corner of paradise. I was able to enjoy a wonderful experience of total relaxation and detachment from the chaotic world of Rome. Exquisite food, try Sara's cakes, they are magnificent.

A place immersed in nature, which respects it and follows its rhythms. Silence, peace, a genuine breakfast and the attentive but never intrusive presence of Erika and Alessandro make it a magical place in which to recharge your batteries and find balance

A magical and regenerating place! The Sant'Egle farmhouse is a paradise for me, and it is exactly what I was looking for and what I needed to recharge my batteries. Like all places, it's not for everyone, so I'll start here since I would like to be concise but I won't be able to. It's not for you if a holiday means holiday village entertainment and television, if you can't live without wifi in the room and air conditioning, or if you are intolerant of nature and insects/animals (on the other hand there are no mosquitoes and flies!) . I specify in case of doubt that insects and small animals are harmless and mind their own business, and that in the evening it is cool and you sleep well with the window open and if you want the fan: the walls are very thick so the insulation works excellently in all senses. However, it is the perfect place for you if you are looking for calm and greenery, if you want to relax in an exclusive and relaxing space that seems out of time and space, where you can have breakfast with your feet in the fresh grass, see fairytale sunsets and a sky full of stars, finding excellent organic products, but also doing yoga or swimming in the salt water pool that doesn't burn your skin and you float like in the sea... a sight that alone is worth the trip! I found it a bit by chance, because I was looking for a place to try floating (sensory deprivation). In itself, floating is an incredibly relaxing experience that I recommend anyone to try, but it is even more so amplified by the context of Sant'Egle: going out and not being in the middle of the traffic of a city but in the most absolute peace and seeing nothing but green as far as the eye can see… I can't imagine a better way to do it! Floating aside, the whole stay was truly regenerating and comfortable, beyond expectations: the very rich breakfast was excellent and catered for all tastes, including the organic spirulina they produced which was available which I appreciated very much; the Classic Suite is beautiful and very original, with large spaces and everything you need, huge shower and bathtub with garden view; simply impeccable cleanliness both in the room and in the common areas, perfect white sheets and towels; top quality bathroom products directly from their bio shop available in the room for the stay, the tavern without host and the possibility of helping yourself to what you want both to drink and to eat and mark on the sheet to pay at the checkout; really well kept greenery with lots of spaces to relax. The mattress in our room was quite firm, being used to a much softer one I wasn't completely convinced at first, but instead I changed my mind because I slept well. Sant'Egle has also proved to be an excellent starting point for discovering some of the wonders of this wonderful area of Italy: in a few minutes you can reach the tuff cities of Sorano, Sovana and Pitigliano, in half an hour you can reach the Saturnia mill waterfalls or to Lake Bolsena. I believe the Tuscan Maremma is incredibly beautiful and underrated, and allows for great things outside of mass tourism. Erika and Alessandro are really kind and hospitable, always available and full of advice which I appreciated so much. Honestly, thinking of a place like the Sant'Egle farmhouse is not for anyone, creating it and making it work is magic, and that all this magic is available to guests is an immense gift. There is a lot of work behind it, and you can see that they do it with passion... you can't help but compliment and say thank you! Thanks also to Sarah, for your smiles and your sweetness. While waiting to return, hopefully soon, I'm trying to rediscover some of that well-being at home that I brought with me thanks to the products from the bio shop, which I don't think I'll ever leave again!

This place will remain in our hearts! We wanted to escape from the city, from the chaos and the constant frenzy and we totally succeeded...Erika and Alessandro are two special people, kind, helpful and never intrusive. How much they have committed themselves to this search for biodiversity and respect for nature in all its forms. The standard is very high, the farmhouse is clean and very well maintained. Hoping to see you again soon, a hug!! Carla and Matteo

Il Frantoio

28/12/2024: Stop for a quick lunch, we only ordered 2 first courses. Good and quality. Service a little slow....we waited quite a long time considering that the place was practically empty. Maybe outside they were busy with aperitifs but in the internal room there were 2 tables.
14/12/2024: Il Frantoio is a historic venue in Capalbio, a meeting point for an aperitif, cultural activities, also a bookshop and ecological boutique. The environment is pleasant and the atmosphere friendly. Then there is the restaurant: elegant, original and with a beautiful fireplace in winter and a beautiful terrace in summer. The food is very good and there is a good wine list. Prices a little high but worth it.

Ristorante Il Moletto

02/01/2025: Historic restaurant in Porto Santo Stefano in a magnificent position, on the port with a view of the town. The food is good, not as amazing as the location. Lemon risotto and grilled fish are worth it though.
02/01/2025: Very nice place, very kind and helpful staff for every request, they know how to please the customer as best as possible, very good food. Advise
