Eravamo di passaggio e ci siamo fermati per caso in questo Ristorante, nulla di eccezionale, molto semplice, il servizio lascia un po a desiderare.

Cozy restaurant, expensive prices for food without infamy and without praise. Things that can be improved: - quality of the polenta and food in general - quality of the cold cuts Very fast service and trained staff

We stopped for a quick lunch. They set up outdoor tables for us and the service overall was quite fast but the waiters were not particularly friendly. However, the lady at the checkout was very courteous. The dishes we ordered were normal with adequate portions. The high price for what we ate

We have already been there some time ago, we wanted to try again, the place is always typical and evocative; Spacious room facing the street where you can breathe mountain air, the room at the back unfortunately tables too close together and small. Typical dishes, varied menu with different local proposals. The only note, but certainly remediable, without going into details, some members of the staff, although willing, were not attentive or rather perhaps not trained enough to serve tables, and the place was not full.

A menu of pizzas presented at lunchtime, only to find out that they are only served in the evening…lol! Half-filled plates: this restaurant thought we had no appetite!!! The more substantial plate of linguine served at the next table finally convinced us that we would not come back. Good but nothing more and really too little for the price, only the 1/2 bottle of Italian wine was able to convince us, too bad!

Very suggestive location, shame about the public parking which greatly ruins the view of the mountains. The two ladies (the bar attendant and the very nice blonde lady) who made us sit even though we hadn't booked were very kind. Food: not extraordinary pizzas and quite high price for what we ate. Too bad, I would have gladly returned.

19/01/2025: Great traditional atmosphere. Had a long lunch there and really enjoyed it. Very pleasant , friendly and welcoming staff. The menu is great with a very varied choice of dishes. There were 4 of us and we had main courses of traditional alpine fare with great choice of deserts to finish. Bill was very reasonable also. No booking at lunch but reckon should book for dinner. Must go to venue if visiting La Thuile.
20/08/2024: Abbiamo pranzato oggi in questo bellissimo ristorante all'aperto con una vista bellissima .. Personale gentile, pizza buona, menù bimbi rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente... atmosfera rilassante...

Restaurant Hotel Les Granges

13/01/2025: Great location if you have a car and don’t want to be in the centre of La Thuile for skiing. There’s a free car park in the town just up from mobile home park about a 400 metre walk to the main lift. Brilliant for warming up and warming down around the ski day. Breakfast in the mornings is perfectly adequate and very traditional, amazing croissants and traditional cheese & meat options. Lovely coffee from Claudio’s machine. The evening meal is served from in the restaurant 100 metres away. A simple walk and one you’re grateful for if you’ve managed to eat all that’s put before you. The food is traditional. Don’t expect burger & chips. The hotel is very spacious and a refreshing alternative to the super modern uber cool places I’ve never aspired to staying in. The rooms are cleaned and the beds made daily. And I’m sure we had fresh sheets and towels half way through the week. We got a half board week for less than the booking dot com B&B price by booking directly with Claudio via their website
08/01/2025: Bella posizione soleggiata. Internamente baita tenuta bene. Piatti normali, niente di speciale. Si può fare molto di più.
