I was at the restaurant: quality food, excellent service, excellent location.

We are in the presence of one of the true Italian and Calabrian excellences. Enzo Barnieri, a true force of nature, has succeeded in creating a magical place where ancient flavors materialize in modern dishes. The zafarani crischi del Pollino are a unique specialty.

The hotel has a wonderful location overlooking the old town; the excellent restaurant is open to the public and serves excellent local food (mostly home-grown). Everything is superbly managed by Alessandra and her competent staff. Absolutely recommended!

Exceptional location. It's a shame I only stayed for 2 days, but I was reborn!!! I discovered it by chance, and I'm sure it will become a regular stop. The breakfast was impeccable. The hospitality and kindness of the owners and all the staff made the difference. Not to mention the excellent dinner!!! Leonardo was very kind. We'll be back soon!

Authentic flavors and excellent value. We celebrated our wedding at this location. The attention to detail was appreciated by all our guests, and the staff was very kind, hospitable, and qualified. They were ready to satisfy every need. I recommend it to everyone for a relaxing holiday filled with good food. The icing on the cake is the Altomonte setting, a stunning village.

We stayed in this property, which has a slightly retro style, yet is extremely well-maintained and welcoming. The rooms tell stories of times gone by, with authentic details that lend a warm and familiar atmosphere. Making everything even more special is Laura, the owner: a wonderful person, attentive, helpful, and truly passionate about her work. She made us feel at home from the first moment, with small gestures and a rare kindness. Recommended for those seeking a place with soul, far from the coldness of modern hotels.

An experience to be repeated and recommended.

Elegant and well-designed, the property offers ample parking, and a lovely terrace overlooking Altomonte's historic center. Although some features aren't child-friendly (many plants with spikes/thorns scattered around, especially in the flowerbeds surrounding the trees scattered across the terrace), I expected the pool to be larger, as it's completely enclosed by a roped-off railing that you have to climb over to reach it. Yes, there's an "official entrance" to the side of the bar, but on my visit, it was blocked by sun loungers occupied by guests, requiring you to walk almost the entire perimeter of the pool (there are only a few centimeters available) to reach the only corner with steps into the water to let a child swim. In any case, it's not a pool suitable for children; adults will appreciate it. The room is clean, just the right size, with a fridge, TV, and safe, and well-stocked with amenities (the disposable slippers and extra pillows in a case are excellent). The food is decent, focusing more on local produce and recipes. The staff is kind and welcoming but sometimes "touchy"😅

Location classica - pulita - Servizio da encomio. Il proprietario ama il suo lavoro e lo si percepisce in ogni singolo momento . Il suo servizio ai tavoli e' d'altri tempi - un vero piacere sedersi alla sua tavola . Siamo stati coccolati con garbo e discrezione . In 15 anni ho piu' di 400 recensioni di vari ristoranti frequentati . Senza dubbio qui al ' Ristorante Barbieri ' ho avuto il piacere di assistere al miglior servizio ai tavoli della mia vita . Mi ha commosso il garbo . Grazie signor Barbieri. La materia prima utilizzata a km zero e' eccellente . Cucina del terroir ben interpretata . Nulla da dire . Il costo dei due antipasti forse era un po troppo ricaricato sebbene molto buono. Nella media il prezzo degli altri ottimi piatti.

Posto molto panoramico. Titolare molto accogliente e professionale. Cibo tipico del posto e buono. Al di sopra della media della zona. Lo consigliamo e sicuramente ritorneremo.
