Ristorante Barbieri is a special place, tied to my family memories: it was my grandfather's favorite place whenever he craved mushrooms, and now I understand why. We started with an appetizer featuring porcini mushrooms, prepared in various ways—roasted, stewed, fried, and breaded—all truly delicious. The fresh pasta with mushrooms for the first course was equally exceptional, fragrant and rich in flavor. The quality was top-notch, with generous portions and more than fair prices. Special mention to Luigi, who pampered us and we chatted for a while. He's truly professional and kind. The shop is also beautiful, where you can buy their own preserves and products in oil. A simple but unforgettable lunch: I'll definitely return every time I pass through Altomonte.

The restaurant enjoys a beautiful view of Altomonte's historic center and the surrounding landscapes. The cuisine is homemade, made with simple, authentic ingredients that are treated with great care and skill. We started off strong with an aperitif of homemade sauces, crusko peppers, and Sila potato chips. The hot appetizers were plentiful and tasty, as was the juniper-infused leg of mutton stew we ordered for our second course. The quality/price ratio is also excellent. Definitely worth a detour!

We are in the presence of one of the true Italian and Calabrian excellences. Enzo Barnieri, a true force of nature, has succeeded in creating a magical place where ancient flavors materialize in modern dishes. The zafarani crischi del Pollino are a unique specialty.

The hotel has a wonderful location overlooking the old town; the excellent restaurant is open to the public and serves excellent local food (mostly home-grown). Everything is superbly managed by Alessandra and her competent staff. Absolutely recommended!

Exceptional location. It's a shame I only stayed for 2 days, but I was reborn!!! I discovered it by chance, and I'm sure it will become a regular stop. The breakfast was impeccable. They were ready to satisfy every need. I recommend it to everyone for a relaxing holiday filled with good food. The icing on the cake is the Altomonte setting, a stunning village.

We stayed in this property, which has a slightly retro style, yet is extremely well-maintained and welcoming. The rooms tell stories of times gone by, with authentic details that lend a warm and familiar atmosphere. Making everything even more special is Laura, the owner: a wonderful person, attentive, helpful, and truly passionate about her work. She made us feel at home from the first moment, with small gestures and a rare kindness. Recommended for those seeking a place with soul, far from the coldness of modern hotels.

Ultimo pranzo prima di rientrare dalla vacanza in Sicilia e Calabria. Location splendida con accoglienza e servizio di classe superiore. Abbiamo consumato una notevole quantità di antipasti tutti preparati con prodotti locali. Ottimo vino e buoni dolci. Prezzi assolutamente accettabili. Alla fine abbiamo visitato il loro negozio dove si possono acquistare tutti i loro prodotti. Consigliatissimo

In una perfetta cornice dei Monti Silani, abbiamo degustato piatti eccellenti e di ottima qualità realizzati con una selezione attenta di prodotti tipici. Dagli antipasti ai primi per passare ai secondi e per finire ai dolci, la degustazione è stata una esplosione di sapori! Consiglio vivamente di passare un we in questa eccellente location godendo dei servizi della SPA in abbinamento ad una impareggiabile degustazione culinaria! Congratulazioni alla famiglia Barbieri che da 40 anni non si smentisce mai!
