Ristorante Bar Amici di Campriano In Buonconvento

I stopped here for a quick lunch with a friend. We had fettuccine with white ragù, a typical Tuscan dish, and pork with fennel, with two glasses of wine and then tiramisu. Excellent. Truly excellent. Lots of people stopped by for sandwiches, too, so it must be all very good. It's an osteria, so to speak, but the food is top-notch. The waiters were all very courteous and friendly. I don't know the price because my friend paid. I'll be back.

While passing through the Eroica roads at lunchtime, we stopped at this restaurant. It was almost full (it's a Saturday lunchtime), but there's plenty of seating both inside and outside. Parking was excellent; we parked our bikes practically a meter from the table, allowing us to easily leave all our luggage without having to carry it away. The restaurant is right across from the train station. Since we were traveling, we only had a quick first course, but they do a lot of other things. The atmosphere is typical of Tuscan home-style restaurants, with friendly, rustic service. The prices seemed below average for Tuscany; some first courses were priced at €6, and the tagliatelle with wild boar sauce we ordered was €10. They were served quickly, and I must say the pasta was really good. I don't know if it's homemade, but it was very firm and firm, cooked to perfection, not mushy. The sauce wasn't up to par with the pasta; I found it to be sparse and lacking in flavor. The pieces of meat were too tough to bite into; I prefer a longer cooking time that flakes the meat. I saw other dishes being passed around other tables, and they looked very inviting. Unfortunately, I can't rate them highly enough since I only ordered one dish. The restaurant, however, offers much more; it's also a bar. I hope to return more slowly. The only downside is that there's only one bathroom for men, women, and people with disabilities, and there was practically a line the entire time I was there.

In addition to the abundance of dishes and the quality of the ingredients—which alone would be worthy of a 5-star rating—this place boasts extremely friendly staff and excellent wines. Surprised by the quality of the house wine, we asked for some information and left with three bottles each to taste at home. We'll definitely be back when we pass through Montalcino.

The waiter was pleasant. The food was decent, but we don't recommend the carbonara (it tastes too cheesy).

We were heading to Montalcino to explore the land of Brunello and Montalcino Rosso. We stopped at the train station to travel the rest of the journey by bus. We had lunch and rested at this restaurant. The restaurant is simple but very welcoming, with delicious food and excellent local wines. All of this at reasonable prices and excellent service.

Very good typical Italian restaurant where traditional and simple dishes are served. The delicious wine is the domain of the owner, I recommend it. Beautiful decor, good service.

Wonderful trattoria, lovely atmosphere, quick and friendly service. The first courses were exceptional and plentiful. The baked potatoes and vegetables were also good. However, we wouldn't recommend the hamburger: nothing special and with a few slices of cherry tomatoes on the side. Otherwise, highly recommended.
