Ristorante Bakkala' In Bologna

A truly excellent seafood restaurant (with the option of a few meat dishes). The roasted octopus was truly tender, the broccoli rabe excellent, and the mixed salad was varied and well-stocked (with excellent olive oil to match). The coffee was also good. We didn't order the first courses, which looked plentiful and well-balanced. We'll definitely be back.

Fresh fish. The appetizers were good...and the baked fish was too...but the first courses weren't superb...disjointed and served a bit hastily...the atmosphere was quiet...the service was excellent and professional.

Excellent food quality, refined but not overly so. Professional, welcoming, and polite staff. The owner is cheerful and very helpful.

Couple's lunch we had lunch in this beautiful modern restaurant and we ate very well 1 appetizer for 2 hot and cold spectacular 1 risotto alla marinara for 2 very good and plentiful 1 mixed fried food for 2 good 1 cheesecake 1 0.75 bottle of prosecco 1 limoncello water on the table good value for money. We arrived at Bakkala' with very high expectations, reservations at 1.30pm, on time we were greeted by a delicious aroma of well-cooked fish. At the table we attracted the attention of a waiter who we discovered was the owner. We ordered, at 2.00pm we had a delicious appetizer, here our odyssey began. They completely ignored us, dishes continued to come out but never ours. At 2.30pm we signaled to the owner who didn't come but a young lady arrived saying that our first courses were arriving...,... Nothing to another lady, telling her that she had a train, and to forget about the second course. Moral of the story, at 2.45pm, when we decided to leave, the owner and two waiters arrived with first and second courses that we would have literally had to wolf down in 15 minutes. When we refused, the owner got angry, shouting in a room still full of people to throw everything away. He also told us that we should have said we were in a hurry, thus blaming us for a mix-up in their orders. Moral of the story, we left. hungry and sorry for the owner's behavior. Paid on our train with great bitterness because we really wanted to eat at Da Bakkala' he lost customers including our friends. With deep regret.

We stumbled upon it by chance, and I have to congratulate you. Finally, in Bologna, we can eat fresh, well-cooked fish. The atmosphere is elegant and refined. We'll definitely be back. Recommended.
