Ristorante Antica Sacrestia In Venezia

After reading rave reviews, we booked the restaurant and came for dinner with friends. The first thing we noticed was that it was deserted, and all the waiters were either Pakistani or from Asian countries. Not Italian. The waiter didn't know what Franciacorta was. We spent a long time explaining it to him. Then he brought a bottle of wine and, with a sense of duty, poured it all into our glasses. In other words, he hadn't been taught any service culture. The food was tasteless, and the seafood was clearly frozen. There was no Italian flavor or vibe in the restaurant. The waiters ruined everything, and the same goes for the kitchen staff. Towards the end, the owner, a very nice Italian, came and said hello. But the evening was ruined. I don't understand why good old, reputable restaurants hire these people who don't even know where they are.

Excellent food, complimentary aperitif and digestif. A real treat at a very reasonable price. Worth noting.

Really good food we had the margarita pizza, lasagna, and another muscle pasta all delicious. Highly recommend if in Venice.

We arrived quite early. The owner welcomed us and showed us the antipasti he made himself. We had a great meal there. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, the staff very attentive. The food outstanding and limoncello, grappa and dessert were all on the house! We could not recommend Antica Sagrestia more highly. Love the owner.

A magnificent restaurant. Tucked away in an alley in the heart of Venice. A very warm welcome in a truly unique and beautiful setting. Impeccable service. Generous portions and absolutely delicious. They work with fresh, seasonal ingredients. A complimentary aperitif was offered upon arrival, and we were treated to a complimentary lemon and vodka digestif before leaving. I highly recommend this establishment.

Recommended by my cousin, I've eaten here several times, practically every time I've been to Venice. Excellent dishes with fresh ingredients. I recommend the cotoletta and pizza, but overall, everything is good. The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Although Venice is a beautiful city, nothing in particular would have prompted me to return one day, nothing except this restaurant where everything was perfect, with special attention to the house wine.

Based on a recommendation from a Facebook group, I can confirm that the restaurant is excellent. The food is delicious and plentiful, and the prices are very reasonable. The service is very welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant.
