Ristorante Altromondo In Perugia

Wonderful place. I had just discovered Grechetto, the white wine of the area, the day before yesterday. My opening glass here was superb. I had with their amuse bouche… a small plate of beans! But they were delicious. I then had a half portion of pasta, cappellacci, sloppy “hats” holding mozzarella di bufala, covered in a sauce of tomatoes ricotta and cow-milk mozzarella, fine. Then a half portion of risotto with saffron and Gorgonzola, which I’ve always known as an aggressive cheese, but not within the sauce which was nicely creamy. I ordered a dessert, zabaglione, but I also a sweet wine to go with it. They sold a delicious Tanic, but then they gave the dry almond biscuits you dip into vin santo (which I’ve never liked much). They were wonderful here. Then they offered Perugia chocolates. Well, this was enough sweet ending, so that I switched from zabaglione to fruit salad, “macedonia” (which gets its fine name in Italian from the King of Macedon, Alexander the Great, who conquered everything in sight and ruled a mixed and varied empire inspiring fruit salad). Great restaurant, highly recommended.

Good morning the "Altromondo" restaurant is located in the historic center of Perugia. The structure is beautiful, the quality of the food unquestionable and the staff very professional and courteous. I hope everyone goes there. Greetings.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would but unfortunately this is the maximum. Very nice and well-kept place, staff super attentive to the customer, nice and friendly, same owner. We had a great time and the food was really good. I recommend spaghetti with clams baked in foil and guanciola with wine. Both delicious. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful restaurant. Awesome food. A bit pricey for me and my partner but worth it to splurge for the quality of food. One of the best meals of our month long trip.

Dinner on December 30th in the center of Perugia. Booked with The Fork for 7pm. Welcoming environment, courteous and professional staff. All delicious and plated very well. In addition to the food in the photo I ordered homemade chipsters (€6), a bottle of water (€3) and a latte (€2). Total spent €74. Tables ranged from two to ten people. Two toilets.

Excellent welcoming and comfortable place. Good food but not very abundant dishes. Qualified and friendly staff know how to advise. Good quality and price

Owned and run by a real handsome Italian gentleman and her beautiful daughter. I was recommended by a family whom I know very well . Food is georgeus. I ate and am offered (being a solo traveler) many dishes. Pumpkin soup and grilled pork are marvelous. Service is by far the best. The gentleman and the beauty are ‘in’ checking everything to be perfect. I took out one star from the atmosphere only because the weather is very good and I couldn’t be outside. Thank you for everything ♥️
