A historic restaurant in Tivoli. I went there for dinner with friends but wasn't very impressed, perhaps because I had fairly high expectations. I ordered the amatriciana, which, however, lacked character, although it's still a good dish. The mixed grilled meats were good, but not quite excellent. The quality-price ratio was average for this type of restaurant, perhaps just a little overpriced for the quality and quantity offered. It's definitely a reliable restaurant, but I expected something better.

Beef ribs was so good very juicy and tender. But beef tripe which is a Roman dish was not my taste.

We've been friends forever, but we keep coming back because they have excellent food, from the pasta, especially their famous "paglia e fieno," to the delicious grilled meat. The place is very warm, and with the grill visible as soon as you enter, it's truly charming.
The staff are super welcoming and family-like.
For a change, we recently had veal morsels that were delicious, although last time I found them a bit too fatty. We also tried the boiled meat; and their side dishes are fantastic.
The desserts are just as good.

It's weird! Wonderful place, old and traditional. Everything we ordered was delicious, but my Paglia e Fieno All'Alfredo was spectacular.

Locale informale con qualche tavolo anche all’aperto ma su strada, con piante che separano. L’interno è accogliente, un po’ rumoroso ma piacevole. Buon menù di piatti tradizionali, ottime carni alla brace (buonissimo l’abbacchio), qualche primo anche vegetariano, affettati e formaggi. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.
