This restaurant is a little hidden gem, one of those discoveries that make you feel lucky. You pay for the quality of the food, and rightly so, because every bite has the authentic flavor of something homemade, with care and passion, as if it were prepared by a loving grandmother. The staff is extremely kind, and the welcome of the owner, a person who transmits serenity, made the experience even more special. It's not just a dinner out, it's like eating at home, but with that extra touch that makes everything perfect.
Ps: I recommend the panna cotta: in its simplicity it was truly delicious, creamy at the right point and with a captivating flavour. Go there, you won't regret it!

Excellent restaurant where you can really feel good. Quality dishes. Kind and competent restaurateur. Tried 4 dishes and a dessert, everything perfect! Excellent Vermentino by the glass. I will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for a cozy spot with a welcoming atmosphere, Al Veliero is a solid choice. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel at home from the moment you step inside—well, once you actually get inside. You have to ring a bell to be buzzed in, which feels a little ironic given that there’s a Carabinieri station right next door. I mean, if things go south, at least help is close by?
The menu offers a great variety of options, and the portion sizes are fair for the price. No disappointments there. That said, I suspect the cook had a slightly enthusiastic relationship with the salt shaker that day. Nothing too dramatic—I didn’t feel like a dried-up raisin afterward, and my cheeks didn’t cave in, so all good!
All in all, Al Veliero delivers a solid dining experience with good food, fair prices, and a bit of unexpected adventure at the front door. Worth a visit!

A very welcoming restaurant
A really pleasant place. Today we were welcomed by the entire family that runs the restaurant, and this made the atmosphere even warmer and more familiar. You perceive authentic hospitality and a welcoming environment, almost like home.
The quality of the dishes is indisputable: simple, tasty and truly pleasant. Perhaps due to their simplicity it seemed to me that some dishes could have a slightly lower price. However, this is absolutely not a criticism of the place nor a negative aspect, but just my personal impression.
I highly recommend coming and trying this cuisine and leaving your opinion on the restaurant!

Ristorantino o trattorianche lo si voglia definire, questo posto è semplice ma accogliente.Molto gentile e attento il proprietario che propone il menù.Noi abbiamo ovviamente preso il pesto, dei calamari e dei buoni dolci.Consigliabilissimo.

such a cute and lovely place that is much enhanced my the charisma of the owner who walks around and makes sure people are enjoying the food! which we sure did! ❤️
We had some good squid to start with, it was a generous portion! I ordered the seafood spaghetti and it was delicious, the tomato sauce was complimentary to the tasty little clams and mussels! I also tried some of my mom’s ravioli which was very good. The seasonal vegetables were nice but I wish they disclosed that they were marinated in oil as it was unfortunately a little heavy for a side dish, but that’s alright since we are in Italy after all :)
lastly, the tiramisu is a MUST! Gorgeously thick and layered.
overall it’s a lovely lunch/dinner spot!

A genova per un giretto veloce, incrociamo questo locale in una giornata piovosa oggi a pranzo. Siamo marchigiani ed abituati ai sapori di mare e terra decisi. Prendiamo capponmagro, baccalà, zuppetta di conchiglie, trofie al pesto ( delicatissimo e buonissimo) da bere un vermentino eccellente e per dolce un budino all'amaretto ottimo. Il titolare e la figlia sempre presenti puntuali e gentili. Prezzo giustissimo. Lo consiglio
