Ristorante Al Veliero In

The pasta was a poem and priced just right: the trofie with pesto couldn't have been better; the amatriciana were a pleasant surprise with their spicy flavor. We found the main fish dishes okay, but unfortunately no swordfish or grilled sardines – so this was definitely a disappointment for us. We found the grilled vegetables rather modest, with insufficient quantity. The wine (sparkling wine) was to our liking. We found the service good, but not "exceptional." We felt very comfortable in the restaurant; it was chic, cozy, and bright without being garish.

Update October 2025: Once again, a very good meal and great service. After the renovation, the ambiance is now also great 👍😀 Friendly, attentive service and delicious food. The bright light somewhat dampens the romance.

Excellent service, exquisite food, and a pleasant atmosphere. Served by the owner, a friendly, charming, and entertaining man. We loved the entire meal, even the desserts, all perfectly prepared (a chef in the group gave each dish a "great" rating). 100% recommended!

We've been to this restaurant, nothing to complain about except that the appetizers were a bit pricey for the quantity (small)... We had a shrimp cocktail and an octopus salad with potatoes... Both were hot (it wasn't specified), plus the shrimp were frozen but it wasn't specified... Recommended? No, there are definitely better places out there.

Lovely and friendly staff. We stopped over for lunch with our dog. They were very kind and offered our dog water. Cozy place to relax and avoid the crowds as a couple or single. Thank you 🙏

A pleasant and clean restaurant. After a long and enjoyable hike, it was appropriate for us as a family to sit down, rest, and eat leisurely.

Mixed experience. Several Michelin stickers on the door, so we went in with confidence. But what a surprise when we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to bring us... bread. However, this person was very friendly and apologized for the delay. In short, we didn't know where we were. The wait lengthened, we ordered, and the other four tables in the room hadn't been served yet. As seafood and fish lovers of all kinds, we ordered swordfish (there was none left, so it would be tuna) and a mixed grill (see photo, meh). The quality was okay. The sauce was good but too sparing. The salad: McDonald's style. The half bottle of wine was almost a full bottle, so we appreciated the gesture of goodwill. Mixed experience. It may not have been their evening, but the meal was pleasant nonetheless.

We received a very warm welcome, with a kind gentleman offering us menus in French himself. The food was good, and in the right amount. The tiramisu and pineapple we ordered for dessert were very good. I recommend it.

Un buon ristorante. Ottime le trofie al pesto (pesto favoloso super delicato). Sicuramente da migliorare un pò il servizio, non per la cordialità, che è stata ottima sia da parte dei camerieri che del proprietario, ma proprio perchè ho notato difficoltà nel capire dove andavano i piatti (forse perchè chi prendeva gli ordini non scriveva ma andava a memoria?). Prezzi più alti rispetto ad altre trattorie sicuramente più economiche.

Super accueil , plat délicieux et service impeccable. Les pâtes sont à tomber. Je recommande. Proche du port et de l’aquarium.
