Really nice place and typical Umbrian cuisine, umbricelli with cacio e pepe made in the form absolutely worth trying because they are delicious with the addition of truffles and divine sliced ​​porcini mushrooms!!! Delicious first courses. Cacio e pepe thrown directly into the mold at the table was scenic as well as tasty, I don't know if it was normal for there to be a dish inside the mold. Pappardelle with white ragù with truffle delicious and with plenty of freshly grated truffle. I expected the roast pork to be different, but I'm from Emilia and for me it was a very good porchetta! I would remove the Mega Blackboard with the menu of the day from the room, it just seemed bulky and obscuring to me. Then... ma'am, I realized that I forgot to warn about the dog when I booked, but there's no need to make a fuss, I'm used to warning, but I'm on holiday, relaxed and distracted. Many restaurants don't even want to know if I have a dog or not.. 😜

We spent a truly pleasant dinner at Il Sottobosco, in Monte del Lago. A characteristic restaurant, welcoming and with attention to the smallest details, where the atmosphere invites you to relax and appreciate every moment. The furnishings are very refined, with a warm and authentic touch that makes the experience even more special, starting from the products on display, which anticipate the quality of the cuisine. We tasted umbricelli cacio e pepe, creamed directly in the form of pecorino and enriched with generous slivers of truffle: a truly exquisite dish, prepared with quality ingredients and great skill. Followed by a top-quality truffle steak, cooked to perfection and accompanied by truly delicious side dishes, which completed an excellent gastronomic experience. The owners, kind and helpful, made us feel at home, and the quality-price ratio was absolutely honest. We recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants an authentic and quality culinary experience. Siamo venuti da Roma ed abbiamo mangiato in questo ristorante che già conoscevamo e che si è confermato eccellente. Eravamo in sei e, come antipasto, abbiamo preso il pecorino al forno con miele e noci e l’ovetto strapazzato al tartufo: uno spettacolo ... poi, come primi, abbiamo preso carbonara con il tartufo e cacio e pepe con tartufo che erano buonissimi. A seguire ci siamo divisi una fiorentina eccezionale e per concludere abbiamo gustato i particolari dolci fatti in casa da Barbara la quale insieme a Federica e Mauro hanno accompagnato il nostro pranzo con un servizio impeccabile …tutti molto attenti e simpatici!
