Ristorante Al GIglio In Venezia

Local in the central area, in Campo Santa Maria del Giglio, 3 minutes from San Marco. I have eaten here several times and the service has always been excellent, fast, helpful and friendly. Excellent wines and excellent value for money. Not to be underestimated, it is the favorite place for gondoliers in the area.

Nous recherchions un coin sympa au soleil pour le midi. Nous nous sommes tournés vers ce restaurant. Nous y avons dans l’ensemble bien mangé, service rapide. Le cadre à l’intérieur semblait très joli mais cela ne justifie pas les prix appliqués. Malgré le couvert non payant , une taxe de service s’ajoute aux prix déjà un peu cher . 8,50€ pour un spritz (bon) et 8,50€ pour une bière de 0,4L. Nous avons souhaité une portion de frite qui est aussi facturée 7,5€ ! Le prix des plats est quand à lui normal et les plats sont bons. Oui nous sommes à Venise mais 89€ pour 2 un midi c’est exagéré . 2 boissons 2 plats 1 portions frites 2 café lungo

The food is very good, fresh and abundant, the place is very glamorous, the waiters are aseptic, neither friendly nor unfriendly, I suppose it is because since they already charge you 12% of the bill for the service, that is, they already charge you the tip in advance. Well, the waiters don't make an effort to be friendly either since they have already earned the tip, it would be nice if they put it on the menu or somewhere else because if not it's like theft at gunpoint, in our case €12 and we didn't know it, if it is a bill of €200 it would be €22 that they take, it seems stupid to me, not even in the United States where waiters receive the most important part of a salary in tips does it have such a percentage. This would not be legal in Spain and could even be reported. A shame because because of that detail I would not return nor recommend it, another thing is that they tell you when you enter or they put it in the menu and you decide to stay anyway.

Deliciosa comida de gran calidad, excelente servicio y el mejor tiramisú recién hecho frente a nosotros! Comimos varias veces en este restaurante clásico y elegante.

Had dinner and while the food was great the waiters were sort of pushy. Also the only place they pushed for a tip.
