We returned yesterday for lunch to celebrate their 47th anniversary.
As always, they are excellent in their service, courtesy, and, of course, their fabulous menu.
Aperitif, a succession of appetizers, two first courses, and fabulous second courses. All very often accompanied by the mushrooms featured in many courses.
Desserts, digestifs, and coffee, all for €80. Excellent value, as always.
They're also always very kind in asking if you'd like a second helping.
Il Vallata certainly remains the best.

I recently dined at Al Castagneto for May Day, and I must say it was a truly positive experience. The restaurant offers a fixed menu on holidays, which I find absolutely appropriate and well-organized, especially given the attendance.
The lunch was plentiful and varied: eight appetizers, two first courses, meat-based main courses with side dishes, desserts (with the option of second helpings), coffee, and even complimentary digestifs. Everything was served promptly and with great courtesy from the staff, who were always attentive and helpful.
The value for money was more than fair, considering the quantity and quality of the dishes. I personally left satisfied with both the food and the family atmosphere.
I was there with my pregnant wife, and despite the super-extensive fixed menu, they created some special alternatives for her!

For over ten years now, I've been a loyal customer of this excellent family-run restaurant, frequenting both for business lunches and on holidays, and I've never been disappointed.
The cuisine is authentic, all homemade, from fresh pasta to desserts, using fresh seasonal produce, often from their own farm. For this reason, the menu varies seasonally and sometimes even daily, as dishes are prepared based on the availability of raw materials.
The restaurant specializes in mushroom-based dishes, which are offered in various courses, from appetizers to tasty first courses (risotto and tagliolini), and fantastic fried mushrooms!
The chestnut-based dishes are also excellent, and they're used in various dishes, from appetizers to delicious desserts, including the bunet and gelato.
The portions are generous, and when possible, they often offer second helpings.
The restaurant is very welcoming, and the staff is extremely friendly. I'd especially like to mention Emanuela, a young woman full of enthusiasm and vitality, who is the beating heart of this restaurant.

Discovered last Sunday, finally some real home cooking, with excellent ingredients, beautifully cooked. The menu is rich, varied, and complete. We even had several seconds... everything was excellent and easy to digest.
Well done, we'll be back. I recommend it.
