Ristorante Al Castagneto In Priola

For several years, returning from my trips to Liguria, often for work, I've stopped at this restaurant for dinner. I haven't had many opportunities to return lately, but last night, returning from Liguria, I decided to stop here again. I must say that my memory of it was already very positive, but yesterday's experience exceeded all expectations. Greeted with the usual warmth that has always distinguished this restaurant, I had the pleasure of rediscovering authentic cuisine, born of experience, tradition, and true dedication. This restaurant seems to transport you back in time, to a time when quality, attention to detail, and passion for one's work mattered above all else. A place that retains an almost magical atmosphere, capable of evoking memories and sensations that are increasingly rare today. I wish this establishment continued growth and the success it deserves, as a tangible testament to extraordinary quality and an authentic approach to catering that should never be lost.

For over ten years now, I've been a loyal customer of this excellent family-run restaurant, frequenting both for business lunches and on holidays, and I've never been disappointed. The cuisine is authentic, all homemade, from fresh pasta to desserts, using fresh seasonal produce, often from their own farm. For this reason, the menu varies seasonally and sometimes even daily, as dishes are prepared based on the availability of raw materials. The restaurant specializes in mushroom-based dishes, which are offered in various courses, from appetizers to tasty first courses (risotto and tagliolini), and fantastic fried mushrooms! The chestnut-based dishes are also excellent, and they're used in various dishes, from appetizers to delicious desserts, including the bunet and gelato. The portions are generous, and when possible, they often offer second helpings. The restaurant is very welcoming, and the staff is extremely friendly. I'd especially like to mention Emanuela, a woman full of enthusiasm and vitality, who is the beating heart of this restaurant. Every time I have lunch at "al castagneto" I'm greeted with a warm welcome, courtesy, and excellent food at a fair price. But today I had a sublime lunch: mushrooms served raw, stewed, and breaded. Every dish exceeded my expectations. Compliments to the kitchen and the service. I haven't tasted such high-quality mushrooms, cooked so well, in years. You have to try it to believe it!!! Compliments to the entire staff, from the kitchen to the dining room.

We stayed at Castagneto for a couple of days during a business trip to the Valley last week, and we had a wonderful time! The restaurant dinner was truly generous and high-quality, prepared by the family and enjoyed with genuine pleasure, paired with a selection of excellent Piedmontese wines! The desserts were delicious and colorful; just looking at the picture here is enough to make your mouth water! The rooms are simple, well-kept, and tidy, with a large and comfortable bathroom! Private parking is available amidst the greenery, making it very convenient for any vehicle... What more can I say? A well-deserved 5-star rating, topped off with such friendliness. Il Castagneto never disappoints. One of the very few restaurants with a beautiful, green, shaded lawn, from which you can hear the babbling of the nearby stream. The cuisine and service are impeccable. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a day in the cool, enjoying dishes that respect tradition and improve upon it.

Experience spent in tranquility and relaxation

We were just passing through and stopped by chance on our way between Turin and San Remo, and we weren't disappointed. The welcome was very pleasant and in French. The meal was simple, very varied, and made with local ingredients, despite the late hour of our arrival. In short, I highly recommend this authentic establishment.
