Ristorante Ai Celti In Gemona del friuli

The dinner was certainly good but a friend asked for a cut of meat and they didn't have it, my friend and I both wanted a fish dish and in the end we had to make heads or tails because they only had 1, I had some meatballs which weren't bad but to say salty was an understatement. Little choice of wine by the glass. All presented well but I don't think we will return.

The staff is friendly and helpful, but the place is a bit cold and impersonal. The food is decent, and the chef is committed, but the value for money is poor compared to similar places. The "vegan options" unfortunately (as is often the case) don't include protein. Average place.

Before leaving for Italy, I was looking for a restaurant where I could eat local food. I can't stand "touristy" food. The restaurant was recommended to me at the Da Sisi Hotel, where I was staying. Tired after traveling 1,000 km, I wondered if I'd even be able to eat anything. At the entrance, I was greeted by a waitress. I guess I didn't look like a fan of Italian cuisine, because after presenting the set menu for that evening, based on local traditions, she suggested they could prepare something different. Of course, I happily ordered the local set menu. The food was exceptionally delicious, and the service was friendly and patient—the waitress explained each dish. The restaurant is worth recommending, because I would have to try hard to find a flaw. My culinary dream has come true. Thank you very much, I will definitely visit you on my next visit.
