Absolutely amazing experience, well worth the detour

Absolutely lovely place! We were looking for a place to have lunch and stretch our feet on our way back home. We found this on google. When we arrived, our dog wasn’t allowed inside but they quickly made us a table in the beautiful garden underneath the shade of a big tree. It was like having a private table in nature! Food was excellent, quickly served and very fresh and delicious.

I visited the L'Orto di Mari farmhouse and I must say it was a pleasant discovery. The place is charming, simple, and unfussy, yet with an authentic atmosphere that's not so easy to find these days. We arrived after 2:20 PM on a Sunday, so outside of peak hours, and yet we were greeted with great kindness and hospitality. The host—who is also the owner—and his wife in the kitchen immediately conveyed passion and authenticity. We ate what was left, but this is often the true sign of proper cooking: two truly delicious first courses, worthy second courses, including an excellent platter, and well-crafted desserts. Simple cuisine, yes, but concrete, sincere, without unnecessary embellishments. The added value, however, was the human connection: we exchanged a few words with the host and you could clearly sense their love for what they do. Final bill: €70 for two, full. Absolutely fair for what we ate and how we were treated. A place to return to, especially if you are looking for the truth

We waited several months to write this review simply because we wanted to understand if the joy and sensations Maria Elena and her entire staff had given us were real. In September 2025, we got married and had lunch at L'Orto di Mari, and it was a wonderful day for a thousand reasons, but one of them was the lunch. The setting was beautiful and exactly what we dreamed of. Intimate and peaceful. We felt pampered every moment. The hardest part was convincing Maria Elena to agree to lunch at L'Orto di Mari. Everything was perfect and delicious, beyond our wildest expectations. We were certain the dishes would be delicious, because someone who cooks with love and passion like Maria Elena can only create unique sensations. The ingredients are excellent and prepared with skill and love. The extremely friendly staff welcomes you in a comfortable atmosphere. Finally, a birthday cake worthy of the finest pastry shops.
