I returned after many years away from Rome, and I must say the quality and hospitality have remained the same. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience authentic Horn of Africa cuisine. A huge, special thank you to the owner, a truly kind and friendly person!

A couple of friends and I had lunch at Enquatash. The place is full of references to Ethiopia and Eritrea, and local songs can be heard in the background, immersing guests in their atmosphere. We ate both the meat-filled Sambusa and the Zighinì, drinking Asmara beer with ours. The dishes are delicious and plentiful, reflecting Ethiopian and Eritrean traditions. Giovanni, the owner, is a welcoming person who reveals the secrets of these fascinating countries, offering customers top-notch service. Furthermore, we watched Ethiopian coffee being poured directly from a Jebena, as per the traditional ritual. The coffee was also very flavorful and served as a perfect end to the meal. Also noteworthy is the presence of typical products, such as exotic fruit liqueurs, which are of excellent quality and difficult to find elsewhere. I recommend eating at this restaurant both to those who have never tasted this cuisine and to those who have already tried it but haven't yet found a place in Rome to enjoy it again.

Typical African restaurant, we had the opportunity to try various traditional dishes. The owner was very helpful in explaining the menu but unfortunately he lacked clarity in the prices: proposing various combinations he never mentioned the price thus leaving the final “surprise” (100€ for 3 without considering the bitters that were offered to us) In my opinion it is worth trying, but taking into account that you will spend a little more than average. Overall I liked it. Edit following the owner's response: All the sympathy shown vanished in an instant when reading the word “fake”. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of the receipt but I remember perfectly it was 103€ (My friend had a 20€ discount obtained with TheFork Yums but that does not change the final bill: 103€) I will not change the number of stars, nor the idea of ​​the experience had because it would be childish, but I will correct what was said above: I will not return to this place, denying the evidence is something I cannot tolerate.
