We came here on every trip to Venice, after a local friend recommended it. On previous four occasions, we were always happy with the food. The fiori di zucca and the fish of the day were stand-outs. The amuse bouche to start the meal is also always delicious.
This time, unfortunately, both of the pasta dishes were severely over-salted (even my cousin who generally uses too much salt said they were too salty!). We pointed that out, but because we ate more of the one pasta (before we concluded it wasn't worth suffering through all that salt and stopped) and barely touched the second (after we tasted it and it was just as salty as the first and we already had too much salt for one meal), the waiter focused on that second pasta and said it was supposed to be salty (with smoked cheese). I pointed out (all in Italian) that both pastas were too salty, not just that one, and that we had had pastas here before and they were never that salty. At the end, the manager brought the check, said they didn't count one of the two pastas, but that it was "good" and not overly salty at all. That kind of attitude of "we'll make an exception and take it off your check but tourists don't know what pasta should taste like" is why we sadly won't come back.
Four guests all thought both of the pastas were overly salty, so it was impolite for the manager to claim they were not. (And some of us have been to Venice 10+ times and are frequent travelers in Italy, so not ignorant tourists.) Sadly, this ruined our previously positive opinion of this restaurant. 5 stars for the fish of the day, amuse bouche and previous experiences, 1 star for the over-salted pastas and service. Rating it 3 overall.

Far too expensive, very poor value for money, most dishes are €28/30, a glass of wine is €10 and the service is more than cold, in short….

Food excellent with unusual menu. Best we had in Venice. Service is a bit rushed and they hover a bit too much. Such a shame because the food deserves to be enjoyed. More expensive than other places but the food warrants it. You would not come for pizza or basic pasta dish. Sea bass with scalloped potatoes or sea bream with almonds was amazing as was beef rigatoni. Tiramisu was so light and fluffy.

Fantastic and unique menu! Everything was great and fresh (obviously homemade unlike some others that advertise)

The restaurant is beautiful…
We ate well, but the atmosphere is very subdued and the owner is strange.

Pay attention to the bill!! Charged 2 pizzas at €50 instead of €44. 2 covers €10.

For New Year's Eve: average quality, non-committal service, little atmosphere, exorbitant prices...

We were passing by and were drawn in by the outdoor tables in the December sun. We decided to have a spontaneous lunch. The prices are obviously high (there’s even a €5 per-person table charge). But the service doesn’t match the price level: no one smiles, they forgot our drink so we had to remind them, and the waiters smoke right next to the guests’ tables. The food wasn’t anything special either. We tried the seafood soup (which came without any broth), the seafood salad (just seafood, no greens), and a Margherita pizza.
Overall, it’s neither a good nor a bad restaurant, but I wouldn’t recommend it to friends visiting Venice.

We arrived really late and they still were able to serve us despite arriving 15 mins prior to them closing that night.
