Historic osteria in the heart of Lucca. Five of us went on Saturday evening. Friendly host, excellent food, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

An excellent experience at this typical Lucchese osteria. Attentive, helpful, and communicative service. The cured meats are delicate, the tortelli ragù is exceptional, the beef sirloin is perfectly cooked, and the porchetta has a unique balance of flavors. Prices are reasonable, considering the area average. Definitely worth trying at least once, but reservations are recommended as the place is small.

Nice place but the food lacked some extras

We found it by chance, while browsing recommendations for places to eat in Lucca. We loved it—the service, the owner's hospitality, and especially the food. Everything was excellent; the meat, the cod, was superb. Dogs are not allowed inside. I highly recommend it.

Lovely restaurant and staff. In the heat of summer, inside or out doesn't make a difference, both are good.

Excellent and cheap food, excellent bole wine for 12 euros a bottle. I recommend it. When they were full, you had to wait a while for anything, but that's probably the Italian way of life, so I take it that way.

We booked after reading the reviews and also after receiving a recommendation from the B&B where we stayed in Lucca, and we were delighted! The host and waiters were very kind, and the service was fast. The dishes were exquisite: we ordered the tordelli, the spaghetti alla lucchese, and shared a plate of rovelline alla lucchese. The Lucchese desserts were delicious!! The torta verde dolce (a real discovery) and the fig and walnut cake. The price was more than reasonable for the products served! Definitely worth considering if you're staying in Lucca!
