Excelent position in the old town. Only had a few drinks, not at all expensive for the location.

Did not read the reviews before sitting down and ordering. Perfectly fine establishment. Pizza Pistacchiosa was very good, service italian style. No problem.

We sat down to eat before reading all of the negative reviews. Honestly, I don’t get it. The service was completely fine, the food was tasty, and the location/vibe were great. I’m assuming that more times than not people who aren’t pleased write reviews to punish the establishment. Don’t believe the negatives, this place was more than fine

We had two incredible meals here during our stay! We read the reviews upon sitting down for our second meal and I couldn’t disagree more with the negative reviews. The staff are hysterical as long as you don’t act like an entitled tourist and the food was delicious

Thank god we did not read the reviews before getting here! We have been twice during our stay in Taormina. Although it might be a tourist trap, delicious food and great service with waitstaff who are so friendly. Don’t be an entitled tourist and you’ll be OK.

My wife and I went here to meet a family member immediately following our wedding in the gardens, and the food was exceptional. We shared a few dishes, including octopus, which turned out to be amazing.

Very good simple restaurant. After a hot day it was nice to cool off in the evening breeze and enjoy simple Sicilian dishes and of course wine. The mussels were in a delicious broth. The pizza was fantastic with rocket and the tuna with caramelized onions was juicy. The wine offered by the waiter was so good that we took a bottle with us.

13/08/2025: Everything was great! Deducting one star only because the food selection is a bit limited (very few pasta dishes and no meat dishes with sauce), but what's available tastes great, it's very cozy, and the tables aren't too close together. The service was extremely fast and friendly.
12/06/2025: The dishes that my wife and I ate today at Tortuga Ristorante Pizzeria were very good. And it was the Capriccioza salad and the Chicken meatballs in tomato sauce with pieces of bread and baked potatoes. The meatballs melted in your mouth and the tomato sauce was very good. The same with the baked potatoes. They were very well prepared. Roasted on top and soft in the middle. The Capriccioza salad prepared with fresh vegetables and eggs. Unfortunately, the rating is 4 due to the price level for such dishes. In comparison to the neighboring restaurants where we have also been, the price is poor. For the meatballs that I ate today, the price of 15 euros is too high. I also rate the atmosphere as 4 because for us the music was loud and there were only two tables occupied, so such a loudness was unnecessary. To sum up, the food was very good but we were there for the first time during our stay and we will not go back there due to the price level of these dishes offered.
