Dinner with friends, the staff rushes us to sit down (7:03 PM) and is not very sociable, never mind.
Tüpin for typical gnocchi, portion that seemed very small to me, other dishes served on 60s canteen style plates, divided into 3 compartments. Good polenta, veal and wild boar just passable (too salty), and digesting them was difficult!
The apricot dessert was good, the ice cream that accompanied it was not.
The bill was not a gift.
We won't be returning.

Pleasant gastronomic experience, to be repeated (maybe on a day other than "Sunday"). The location is particular, a dive into the history of the mountain people, as evoked in the name of the place. Worth the trip up there.

This restaurant is an ancient 18th century sheepfold and it is entered as in a cellar. It is a real superbly decorated museum where there are many items used by the shepherds from yesterday to today ...
Located in the magnificent historic village of Chianale, this address is definitely worth the detour !

After having lunch with my family at this restaurant, I can honestly say that the negative reviews are absurd! The food is divine, the portions are absolutely generous, the atmosphere is wonderful and cared for in every detail, the staff is kind and helpful, the prices are adequate for the context, the quality and the quantity. If you want chips and cutlet, served in an anonymous place at an altitude of 50 meters, this place is not for you. If instead you are looking for a magical place, where you can escape from everyday life and rediscover ancient flavors... welcome! P.S. note for those who are celiac. Come with peace of mind. You will be able to eat peacefully. Even the dessert!

A very welcoming location characterized by many objects (especially in wood) that make you discover the mountain life of the past. The definition of restaurant-museum is perfect! The food however, in relation to the prices and portions, did not impress me. We took some polenta and second courses that could be eaten but there are better cuisines in the area.

Posto veramente bello, cibo senza acuti e prezzo in linea con la zona. Servizio migliorabile, a noi è stato sbagliato il piatto del bimbo che ha dovuto aspettare e iniziare a mangiare quando noi avevamo già terminato. Può succedere ma con i bambini bisognerebbe avere un'attenzione maggiore, come quando si porta la bottiglia per l'assaggio non è il massimo appoggiarla al tavolo, andarne ad aprire un'altra e tornare. Un così bel locale per essere di livello dovrebbe migliorare anche su queste piccole cose.
