Locale gia frequentato a cena, prima volta a pranzo con amici venuti da fuori e portati qui perché convinti di far provare un locale di livello per la carne. Abbiamo nel gruppo un bambino di 18 mesi che rimane senza pranzo perché la cucina non può cucinare la pastina in acqua, non hanno fornelli, solo griglie x carne. Scegliamo tre tagli , il primo arriva freddo su pietra fredda. Il motivo ce lo dice il proprietario: alle 12,30 non avevano riscaldato il forno, era troppo presto. Gli altri due tagli arrivano dopo lunga attesa nonostante la segnalazione che avevamo una tempistica da rispettare. Gli amici ci hanno chiesto perché li abbiamo portati. Un dispiacere perché la carne è ottima.

Macelleria Testi is located in Vicopisano, the ancestral village for my family. My wife and I stayed in Vicopisano for and week and on 19 September we had dinner at Macelleria Testi. We ordered the bistecca alla Fiorentina. It was a first for us. My only regret is that I live 4500 miles away and will not have an opportunity to eat here again. The steak was probably the best steak I have ever eaten. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was nice and the food was wonderful. La Macelleria Testi si trova a Vicopisano, il paese d'origine della mia famiglia. Mia moglie e io siamo rimasti a Vicopisano per una settimana e il 19 settembre abbiamo cenato alla Macelleria Testi. Abbiamo ordinato la bistecca alla Fiorentina. Era la prima volta per noi. Il mio unico rammarico è che vivo a 4500 miglia di distanza e non avrò più l'opportunità di mangiare qui. La bistecca era probabilmente la migliore che abbia mai mangiato. Il servizio era eccellente, l'atmosfera era piacevole e il cibo era meraviglioso.
