RIONE XIV bistrot In Roma

Rione XIV Bistro is a very small restaurant located next to the Vatican, with limited seating for about 18 people. Due to its size, reservations are not possible, and it's recommended to arrive as soon as the restaurant opens or go every hour, as this is the average time it takes to eat there. Despite its size, the place is very cozy and the service is very friendly. The waiters are efficient and move fairly quickly, which helps maintain a pleasant pace. The menu offers a variety of typical Italian dishes, all of them quite elaborate. We opted to try a dish that was the daily suggestion, pasta with zucchini and pistachio, which was very good. We also ordered another pasta with mushrooms and truffle, which was also a success. Although these aren't the best pasta dishes in Rome, they are tasty and different, which gives them a special touch. What we did love was the tiramisu, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, we think Rione XIV Bistro is one of the best options near the Vatican, offering good value. The service, food, and atmosphere make it a highly recommended place to visit.

Just a few steps from the Vatican, this tiny restaurant offers fast, friendly service and good food, offering a true Italian culinary experience. The appetizer, burrata and anchovies, is excellent, and the carbonara is very good. Highly recommended. It's definitely not a tourist restaurant.

A delightful place with a warm welcome and family-friendly service. Excellent carbonara and matriciana, both very good. The burrata served with cherry tomatoes, anchovies, and lamb's lettuce is also delicious. Fairly priced. Highly recommended 👍🏻

We ordered the carbonara and amatriciana, two glasses of wine, and the pistachio frangiapane—everything was excellent! Best carbonara of the trip so far.
