Exceptional location, great food, highly recommended

We had lunch at this refuge, reached after a lovely hike through the woods of the Val d'Otro. The dishes are simple but well-prepared; we had the house antipasto, which was excellent. The mountain cheeses were spectacular, including the venison mocetta and lonzino, as were the ricotta and goat cheese. The polenta concia was perfectly made. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited it during a trail run. Excellent food...fantastic views. We'll be back!

Excellent refuge at a reasonable price nestled in the wonderful Val d'Otro.

We had lunch... really excellent service, outdoors... Menabrea on tap, grilled salami, polenta...

We loved it, a very special place... the scenery is incredible, the restaurant's location, the food, the service... excellent!!! Highly recommended, and the Valley of Otro... amazing!!!

Typical Walser house used as a refuge and restaurant. Simple and well-cooked traditional dishes with quality raw materials. Young and very kind staff, with the awareness that a smile makes the difference and costs nothing. Very honest prices and quick service. Given the context and the possible excursions in the surroundings we will probably return for a few days of relaxation. Congratulations to everyone. From Walser to Walser.

Rifugio caratteristico e bel curato. Abbiamo mangiato ottimamente con buone porzioni. Il rifugio è situato in un posto incantevole. Una conca coronata da monti, ricchissima di fiori variopinti ed erba verdissima. Luogo che sa di storia millenaria: proprio questo centro abitato nasceva mille anni fa con l’arrivo delle popolazioni Walzer il cui passaggio è ancora oggi evidente! 1 ora di cammino a buon passo da Alagna… 500 metri di dislivello. Ma secondo il passo e l’allenamento si può salire con più calma. Consigliata la prenotazione. Oggi, ad esempio, c’era un certo affollamento, Polenta concia, salsicce, salumi e formaggi ottimi.
