We arrived at the refuge around 3 PM, but even though we'd eaten, they cooked us delicious arrosticini right there. It's worth coming all the way here just to have a coffee and enjoy the view. Friendly staff, clean restrooms, and lovely tables in the woods!

You arrive and find yourself in this family-run refuge, served by a wonderful, kind, and extremely helpful lady at the counter. We've been here a week and had the best sandwich in all of Abruzzo: sausage, broccoli rabe, and provola. Exceptional desserts. Everything homemade and strictly fresh. Five stars superior!!!

A lovely summer walk along the Roccaraso blue slope to reach the refuge. Sandwiches, first courses, or main courses with grilled meats. Tables under the trees. Friendly hosts. If you're a couch potato, you can take the chairlift. Prices are more than fair for a refuge.

Ci siamo fermati diverse volte in questo rifugio sempre per una pausa veloce, buona la varietà dei piatti e dei dolci. Spazioso lo spazio con i tavoli. A volte un pochino freddo all'interno. La cosa che mi ha lasciata molto perplessa è la mancanza di senso civico che ha la maggior parte degli sciatori, malgrado ci siano le rastrelliere per gli sci davanti al rifugio, anche se vuote, si preferisce lasciare in ordine sparso gli sci intralciando anche l'accesso alla seggiovia.

The owner and staff are always ready to offer their guests welcome attention, and above all, never out of obligation, but rather through their genuine, genuine nature. Thank you for making us feel at home.
08/01/2026: On the evening of January 4th, I went to this restaurant with my husband and 3-year-old son, who immediately took a liking to it. I wanted to emphasize the kindness, refinement, and helpfulness of the waiter and owner in explaining and bringing the dishes and drinks. The food was truly good: tagliatelle with wild boar in white sauce and mixed grilled meats, followed by a crema catalana.

24/01/2026: Sunday lunch, neither good nor bad... the homemade pasta (chitarra) was good, but the toppings left much to be desired: the ragù was nothing special, and above all, if I ordered polenta with tomato sauce and sausage (which cost a whopping €12!), I expected a sauce made WITH SAUSAGE... I can't get a simple polenta with tomato sauce WITH ROAST SAUSAGE CRUMBLED ON TOP!!! UNACCEPTABLE. The service was friendly enough, but I still have some doubts about the difference between the prices listed on the menu and the (higher) ones actually paid at the register.
