Courtesy should never be taken for granted. After 3 hours of walking we decided to stop here... one of the three refuges in the Umbra Forest. Our idea was to cool off with a drink and maybe stay for lunch. SORRY that we were not welcomed kindly by the gentleman at the bar who ... in addition to not having almost said hello to our request to use the bathroom, he took it for granted that we would not consume and rudely told us "the bathroom costs one euro, we pay for the water." Being used to trekking we knew very well that we would have to pay (as we also did in the other refuge on the same day) but when put this way we literally ran away. Without eating.

Abbiamo preso due abbondanti antipasti misti e due dolci ambedue molto buoni, innaffiati da buon vino locale Camerieri molto gentili e pronti Prezzi forse leggermente alti Comunque una bella esperienza

Rustic place, with cute donkeys, chickens (not free!) and fawns. Good food, a little slow service with inexperienced staff.

A wonderful location deep in the heart of the Foresta Umbra where there are very few alternative restaurants. Lunch is not a quick snack! A four course Italian affair with local ingredients prepared with care - surprising for somewhere so remote. They also have rooms/bed & breakfast. We visited as part of a 7 day walking trip to the Gargano Peninsula. Lots more tips on LovetoWander.

Exactly how we wanted! Quiet place, immersed in the greenery of the Umbrian forest. We were looking for a place to relax and we found it. As for the food, we ate everything the owners produced. A place that feels like home. We were welcomed by attentive and kind staff, ready to satisfy our every need. A few minutes from Vico and above all, if you want to walk in nature... there are paths within walking distance. We will be back!

13/02/2024: Si mangia benissimo, non si può dire altro. Piatti tradizionali con abbinamenti particolari (tipo i frutti di mare con le cime di rapa). Il pancotto di mare è superlativo. Prezzo giusto per la qualità dei prodotti utilizzati. Il bonus è la simpatia e l'accoglienza del titolare.
27/10/2023: Ottimo ristorante principalmente di pesce. Buona scelta, ottimo servizio e cura dei piatti e delle materie prime. Prezzi in linea con il servizio e la qualità.
