A walk with a friend. From the parking lot to the refuge, there's about 8 km of dirt road that takes 1.5-2 hours. There's a welcoming refuge where you can refresh yourself, and the view is enchanting.
I recommend it for a walk.

The hike to the refuge is easy and suitable for everyone, even the less experienced. The view is beautiful, although I think you could find better in the area. The polenta deserves a special mention, but I found the sauces a bit bland, with the exception of the cheese spreads. The tasting menu for €25 is an interesting option, allowing you to sample a variety of toppings and including dessert. If you decide to have lunch here, I highly recommend making a reservation; if you don't have a phone service, perhaps send an email. Wi-Fi is available, but my advice is to put your phone away and enjoy the mountains!

A wonderful place to sleep, have lunch, or dinner. The welcome is very warm and friendly. There are some beautiful hikes starting from the refuge, suitable for all levels. The food is typical of the region and delicious. Very clean and comfortable. I go there every year and it's always a pleasure. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful walk from Pra Catinat in the snow! Warm welcome at the refuge (despite it being full).
Excellent sandwiches, large and richly filled, eaten while admiring the view!
