Excellent place. Had lunch, simple but tasty dishes, a mix of various regions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Located at the start/finish point of several trails.

A basic but welcoming refuge at the end of a long walk in the woods that I highly recommend. The staff are very kind and friendly.

A hidden gem nestled in the mountains, surrounded by lush vegetation and flanked by a stream. The place is enchanting, especially in spring and summer. In colder seasons, it's difficult to reach due to the weather and the narrow road (two cars can barely fit), with few guardrails and a risk of landslides or other hazards. The main room is welcoming and warm, with children's drawings, books, old wooden furniture, and a window overlooking the outdoor area and nature. The menu is full of delicacies with unique pairings, delicate flavors, and organic and natural ingredients. The prices are reasonable. They also offer delicious alcoholic beverages and artisanal juices. The staff is helpful, friendly, and quick—no complaints there. Another important thing to note, especially for those highly connected to the digital world: there is no signal. The road to get there is long and arduous, but it's worth it!

A refuge above Pianaccio, a charming spot, the starting and finishing point for various hikes on the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) trails. You can stay overnight and eat, and it's run by friendly and capable people.

The shelter is finally open. The girls are excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming and hospitable.

This refuge is in a beautiful location, surrounded by a truly remarkable forest, with towering trees. The refuge is beautiful, the menu is traditional, and the food is delicious and locally made. It's managed by very young, kind, and efficient people. A very positive experience.

Rifugio Segavecchia is one of those rare places where the welcome is felt, seen, and lingers. The hosts are present, attentive, and authentic—they make you feel part of the place, not just passing through. The cuisine is another strong point—local ingredients, authentic dishes that taste of home and the mountains, and a lovingly tended vegetable garden (better than many gardens) that resonates in the flavors. All around, a dense, verdant forest, where time slows and nature envelops you in profound silence. At night, fireflies seem like stars descending to visit us. No signal, no notifications: you truly disconnect, and you can breathe. For those who want to walk, create, learn, or simply be there, there are carefully designed activities and workshops for adults and children. It's one of those places where you return and feel a little different.

I went for lunch on a rainy day that prevented us from going on any excursions. Everything was very good, the service was lovely, perhaps a little too noisy due to the many lively children present. I recommend the ravioli al plin and the second course with cooked cheese... I don't remember the name of the dish.

A pleasant surprise, this lovely refuge hosted my 12-year-old son and a group of his peers. My mom and I didn't stay there, but we'd love to return as soon as possible.
