A basic but welcoming refuge at the end of a long walk in the woods that I highly recommend. The staff are very kind and friendly.

A hidden gem nestled in the mountains, surrounded by lush vegetation and flanked by a stream. The place is enchanting, especially in spring and summer. In colder seasons, it's difficult to reach due to the weather and the narrow road (two cars can barely fit), with few guardrails and a risk of landslides or other hazards. The main room is welcoming and warm, with children's drawings, books, old wooden furniture, and a window overlooking the outdoor area and nature. The menu is full of delicacies with unique pairings, delicate flavors, and organic and natural ingredients. The prices are reasonable. They also offer delicious alcoholic beverages and artisanal juices. The staff is helpful, friendly, and quick—no complaints there. Another important thing to note, especially for those highly connected to the digital world: there is no signal. The road to get there is long and arduous, but it's worth it!

A refuge above Pianaccio, a charming spot, the starting and finishing point for various hikes on the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) trails. You can stay overnight and eat, and it's run by friendly and capable people.
