A very nice retreat, run by the entire family, and Tania's attention and recommendations are excellent. It has heating and the rooms are comfortable. The only thing they could improve is that the showers are outdoors and have cold water. This is important because when you're trekking, what you most want is a hot shower upon arrival.

We stayed here on night 4 of the Alta Via 4. Beautiful and quaint rifugio is a great place to rest, eat a hearty meal, and sleep overnight after a long day of hiking.

Very nice people with a wonderful older lady in the kitchen who cooked amazing food for us vegans! Thank you for the best meal of our hut tour :) The room and hut in general were very nice, we felt very comfortable!

A very charming and quaint refuge nestled in the woods above San Vito di Cadore. I stayed here around mid-August and it was lovely. Dinner and breakfast were excellent for a small mountain refuge. The hosts were very kind. The shower was a real treat. I recommend it.

We stopped at this refuge just for lunch, starting from the Sunbar refuge in San Vito di Cadore. The hike isn't very short, about two hours at a brisk pace. The refuge is very beautiful and well-kept. We ate two pressed canederli with cheese and cabbage, a portion of sautéed zucchini, and a crostata for two. Everything was excellent, total price: €44.00. We appreciated that the vegetables come from their own garden.

Of all the rifugios I stayed over my hike across AV4, this one was BY FAR the best one without a doubt. The homelike atmosphere and attentive service was what shined the most for me, but everything else was superb.

Such a beautiful place. It was the most authentic rifugio we stayed at during our Alta Via 4 trip. The hosts were kind, the dinner home cooked and really tasty and the views simply amazing. Thank you for everything, we loved our stay!

04/10/2025: A wonderful family lunch in this cozy cabin with a panoramic view of Mount Pelmo. We sampled many dishes, as there were so many of us, all delicious and made with quality ingredients. Special mention goes to the venison medallions with berries and the tender pork shank. Nicole provided warm and welcoming service. Compliments to Chef Enrico and his staff.
03/10/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance, but I highly recommend it. It's a truly authentic and welcoming place, with very friendly owners who also speak English. Excellent food, perfect for enjoying the view! Excellent value, and dogs are welcome.

Agriturismo Zaine

19/08/2025: We had a family dinner at this agriturismo, sitting outside; the tables were well-spaced and comfortable. The service was friendly and fairly quick. The dishes were good, especially considering the portions served and the prices of other restaurants in the same town. I recommend the dumplings, especially the nettle ones, the grilled cheese, and the Zaine platter, which allows you to sample several specialties. The side dishes, though good, are less recommended, as they are rather sparse compared to the price.
19/08/2025: This year too, we couldn't miss a visit to Zaine. Excellent local food, excellent service with very kind waitresses. Great for our granddaughters, who were able to play on the well-kept lawn and see the goats, rabbits, and donkeys. Great for a peaceful and quiet lunch and a relaxing early afternoon.
