I stayed at the Rifugio on a Sunday with some friends. Well-located and easy to reach, the refuge is charming and welcoming, perfect for an immersive experience on the slopes of Etna. We only had lunch at the refuge, and there were eight of us. A major problem was the lack of reservation lists, so we had to wait a long time before being seated. The staff weren't very welcoming at first; they called our names to let us know there was a free table, but when they led us to the dining room, they claimed they hadn't called us. It happened twice. Despite this, we finally had lunch. The ingredients were good and homemade, but the meat was overcooked, and the appetizer could have been more generous, considering it was shared between two people. Overall, it was a great experience, a great stop for a refreshment during a hike!

I must say that all in all it went well, it is a mountain refuge, so you can't expect much, moreover the price of the overnight stay including dinner and breakfast is low, a special appreciation goes to the waiter Carlo, a kind and helpful person, who served us dinner in the evening

We can be very satisfied, despite some negative reviews from other guests. But inspired by the beautiful view and setting, we stopped for lunch.
I can confidently say that it was a truly exceptional lunch, with perfect weather and everything in a rustic style. The food was top-notch, from the grill to the side dishes.
Otherwise, the service was impeccable, with a friendly waiter available to answer any questions.
And the premises were equally clean. I don't understand all those negative reviews about rude management. We'll be back with our eyes closed! See you next time.

I love this property and this is already my fifth time staying there. Very clean, excellent food, great location. The only downside is that they don't allow pets this year.

I've been several times and have always had a great experience. The cuisine is simple, not a lot of choices, but what they do is done well, plentiful and fast. The staff is friendly, and the price isn't particularly high for the quality.
The place is cozy and well-heated, and if you happen to go when it's snowing, it's truly a treat.
Recommended for those who love simple things done well.

We stopped just for a coffee. There's ample parking and the place is very well-maintained. Some of the staff responded a bit rudely to some requests from other diners ("Is there a coffee menu?" "Go to the counter, it's hanging").

A welcoming and quaint place.
Excellently managed by the Mangano family.
Excellent food, kindness, and professionalism. We ate very well and immediately afterwards, we immersed ourselves in the pine forest, enjoying a relaxing stroll with the fragrant scent of the pines.
