Rifugio Pian Di Cengia - Büllelejochhütte In Sesto

Superb cuisine and even better service. Truly unique!

The Büllejoch Hut is located at approximately 2,500 meters above sea level. Beautifully nestled among the Oberbachern peaks. The Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks) are no longer visible from here, but in about 1.5 hours you can hike along the base of the Paternkofel, past the Dreizinnenhütte (Three Peaks Hut), and enjoy the view. It's rarely quiet here. The trail from the Fischlein Valley comes via the Zigsmondi Hut, where you can see the impressive sundial (consisting of several peaks that are perfectly aligned with the sun at specific times). You can stay overnight at the hut; we only stopped briefly for drinks and to use the restroom. The people there are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. My wife had a headache, and the hut owner explained the best routes down to me. The dining room is very small inside; on cold days, you have to be lucky to get in. I can't say anything about the rooms, as we didn't stay overnight, so I'll just give it five points overall; what's there to complain about with dormitory-style accommodation?

The coffee and apple strudel was amazing

Considering its location, the hut is surprisingly well-equipped. There's running water despite the lack of a spring and the hut's high elevation. The staff is very friendly and helpful. While there's only one dormitory, there's an additional room within that dormitory where you can sleep as a family, for example, if you don't want to share a room with everyone else. Unfortunately, the access to the dormitory is up a ladder, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Dinner, breakfast, and the Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes) were all delicious and plenty to fill you up.

It's incredibly beautiful there. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. You have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the dormitory. There's space for 11 people plus a separate room for 4 people. The food was delicious. The location is, of course, fantastic. I'll definitely be going back 🤩

One of the most beautiful huts in the Alps. No frills that don't belong there, just warm hosts, a great team, very clean rooms, and extremely delicious food. And all of this has remained virtually unchanged for more than 30 years. Keep it up!

How in the world is it possible to offer such a nice coffee and an apfelstrudel homemade and that good that far away from the next grocery store - such an amazing job !!!!

Absolute highlight of my Dolomites treck, this place is an absolute gem. The location, quality and above all the people who run this place are just amazing. Cuisine way beyond what you’d expect at 2,5 thousand meters, how Dinther even do it??!! With love is the only answer I can find. If you’re planning a trip to this area, don’t miss it.
