The Jora Hut is perfectly located for a stopover during a hike. It's a very nice and cozy hut with good coffee and very friendly service!

A wonderful discovery, the kind you don't expect. At the end of the wonderful tour we took, starting from the Sole Paradiso Hotel, passing by the charming (former) Bagni di San Candido, and arriving up on Monte Baranci, descending towards the valley, we found this little corner of paradise. At the Jora Refuge, the owner is super nice and helpful. We chatted about the possible tours around there. All three of us had a great time, the adults with two excellent beers, and the little one with the games available. What can I say? It was truly spectacular! Well done, highly recommended!

After a walk between Sexto and the old thermal baths of San Candido, we found the directions to this refuge... I decided to venture there... upon arrival, we were surprised by the beauty of the place and the deliciousness of the dishes, carefully prepared with typical local ingredients... we were super satisfied and can't wait to return 😊

29/12/2025: A place in the sun!!! At this time of year, not many beer gardens or restaurants with outdoor seating are open. We had gorgeous weather and just wanted to enjoy the sun with a drink. We stumbled upon this place by chance. It couldn't be more Italian. Self-service, practical, friendly, and simple. The location is definitely the biggest draw. In winter, you can get a spot in the sun until 4:00 or 4:15 pm. There's an outdoor play area for small children with all sorts of fun toys. Chickens and geese roam around, too. No frills, but they've got their heart in the right place. We loved it just the way it is!
28/10/2025: We didn't stay overnight. We just had a drink on the beautifully situated terrace.

06/01/2026: On December 19, 2025, I was out for dinner with my colleague; the food was very good.
04/01/2026: A truly enchanting place! Just a few hundred meters from the center of Merano, along the Tappeiner Promenade that runs from Tirolo to Merano, it's full of breathtaking views! A very welcoming mountain-style restaurant, with wood everywhere and a fairly traditional and varied menu. The three types of bread that are brought to the table immediately indicate that they're off to a great start. Their own wine (we drank a very good Lagrain) and other interesting labels confirm that they're from Alto Adige! We enjoyed tomato bruschetta, beef tartare, venison goulash, and a tart with a chocolate heart. Everything was delicious, even though the bruschetta and goulash were a bit too salty. Excellent service, and the wait staff were numerous, attentive, pleasant, and punctual! The service was very attentive. A truly beautiful place!
