More than a refuge it has become a restaurant. The managers are only interested in making money and selling as much as possible even though they bring the raw materials up with a simple off-road vehicle and not a helicopter.

I will have gone up and down this refuge at least ten times and it is always a surprise, always pleasant and its mountains are always obviously full of beauty. The cuisine is excellent, the prices are average and the owners are true refugee people. It's wonderful to stop even just for an aperitif or dinner and go down, the priceless breakfast overlooking a terrace in the mountains.

Pleasant walk, beautiful structure, outdoor tables with a view, decent quality... but quantity and service to be reviewed. The 24 euro tasting lunch includes a mixed starter, a first course (polenta or gnocchi), a dessert and a coffee. The portions are all rather small, but in addition to that there is the rule that the menu must be requested by the entire table, including children and teenagers. With a bit of insistence (and embarrassment) we fortunately managed to obtain an "exemption" and allow the kids to eat 1 first course each (and a couple of desserts at the end of the meal). Then we ordered a plate of extra green anchovies to share (7 euros) and 8 anchovy fillets arrived, numbering: 1 each. We asked for bread 3 times and each time we received 7-8 slices the size of a biscuit in a semi-empty tray. In the end the bill for 4 adults and 4 children was €171.5, without discount, with alcoholic sugar offered. Maybe we found the wrong/unlucky day, but we are fans of alpine refuges and the "rules" of the house and the portions did not seem aligned with this type of accommodation. In our view, it may make sense to place limitations on the tasting menu when the quantities are abundant, but not when the portion is just enough for an individual.

Beautiful refuge reachable in two hours with a comfortable mule track. The full menu at 24 euros is very abundant but beer and wine are separate. With polenta and beer you spend a little less and eat your fill.

A little hard to get there (started from Piossasco by MTB) but when you arrive you are rewarded with a wonderful place!!!!!! Congratulations to the managers 😊😊

Short late afternoon trip with a beer break, fresh and delicious. Truly a spectacle, the place is marvelous and the refuge seems to be managed in a super way. Definitely coming back for polenta and maybe for the night.
