Rifugio Fondovalle In Sesto

The refuge is located in the Fiscalina Valley. It's 45 minutes from the furthest free parking lot and 20 minutes from the closest paid parking lot. The restaurant is a gem, beautifully furnished, and perfectly located. The food is excellent, and the staff is friendly and fast. I highly recommend it.

We returned after a while and finally managed to grab a snack despite the crowds. The girl who served us was very kind and courteous, finding us a seat inside (there were three of us), and very quick in taking our orders and bringing our food. Everything was very good at a price that, all things considered, was fair for the place. Definitely worth a try.

Good place for a chat after the bike tour

Lunch with friends and family. Everything was delicious. There's a well-equipped playground for the little ones. It's easily accessible from Moso and Sesto for those who prefer to walk, or there's a shuttle service up to 15 minutes from the refuge.

A wonderful refuge in the mountains. Easily accessible, the trail is accessible to all, the views are enchanting, and the cuisine is imaginative and local. Efficient and courteous service. Highly recommended. P.S.: We went to the restaurant, but didn't stay overnight.

Talschlusshütte (Fischleintal) is a popular, easily accessible hut at the gateway to the Drei Zinnen hike, with a big parking lot nearby. This makes it very family-friendly but also extremely crowded, even requiring a wait for seating, which was frustrating on our recent visit. The hut itself is nicely renovated, with a playground, fresh water for dogs, and both sunny and shady seating. Food has always been good, with nice desserts and even quality schnapps, and the service is efficient and very friendly. You can also stay overnight, which might be a great way to enjoy the area early before the crowds arrive. Views are pleasant but not breathtaking, and the valley is fairly dry with limited hiking beyond the Drei Zinnen route. Overall, a solid, dog-friendly stop if you need an easy-access base, but for those seeking quiet or remoteness, it’s probably not the best choice.

The hut is ideally located as a starting point for the Alpini Steig, for example. The landlady is super friendly, the hut is very new and modern, and the beds in the dormitory are very comfortable (single beds). The breakfast is fantastic. I would come again.
