Rifugio Emilio Comici In Selva di val gardena

We went to this hut for lunch during the hike. First of all, I would like to point out that the hut faces a large influx of tourists in the summer, so refreshments are possible in two ways: Either just a bar and small dishes (outside) or a restaurant with indoor seating. The service is pleasant, but despite their large number, they sometimes can't keep up. The offer is wide, but the prices are higher even among alpine huts due to the high demand; fortunately, the portions are large, so you can fill up even with just the soup.

It's not a refuge, but a restaurant. The "refuge" sign was rightly removed from the facade, and you can't stay overnight. The food is fine. Landscape-wise, the outdoor structures are becoming too invasive for the place, but that's probably what the mountain nightlife demands... Beautiful trail, suitable for everyone: children, strollers, and adults, but unfortunately not for wheelchair users. The refuge is poorly equipped due to the large number of people arriving. There are few loungers to sit and rest. And the refuge also offers a menu with unaffordable prices. All prices range from €17 to €22.25 for a plate of spaghetti and tomato sauce or two simple eggs with potatoes, so many people bring food from home or from their hotels. By consensus, the "Panorama" refuge, five minutes away, on a slope, making it a bit tiring for strollers, offers much more affordable and regulated prices, within everyone's reach. It also has a lawn full of comfortable, padded chairs. There are clean bathrooms and a foosball table for kids or children to play with. .

Well... eating delicious fish and seafood at an altitude of over 2 km above sea level? Priceless and fascinating. Be sure to book a spot. Those who don't are turned away. What a shame.

If you are doing the Sassolungo route, you definitely should put this as a stop for your route! The views are amazing and you could also snag a beach chair to have a quick rest or laze whilst enjoying the great views. Service was also amazing and you would feel right at home. The toilets are also clean and futuristic. Food is great as well and the price although more than usual, is reasonable as it is a place high up in the mountains.

The location is fantastic, and the selection is extensive. However, this "hut" doesn't fit the region or our taste. Nevertheless, the service was super friendly, and the cake (there's a huge selection) was truly delicious. Unfortunately, at €8 a piece, it's way too expensive, as is the general price here (a 0.5l beer for €7). The restrooms are worth checking out, though; they're also free for hikers.

The Dolomites are stunning. But the real gem is the Comici refuge. There's nothing comparable in the entire Alpine region. Coming here and not eating at Comici even once is crazy.

Rinomato per il pesce "ad alta quota", non ha deluso le aspettative. Ottimo, fresco, cucinato con maestria. Personale cortese, ambiente gradevole. Nota "dolente" il costo ma era prevedibile! Rapporto qualità prezzo tutto sommato giusto, se si pensa che ci troviamo ad oltre duemila metri di quota sul livello del mare.

Kurzer Rast zur MIttagspause hier. Ich hatte in diversen Artikeln darüber gelesen. Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein saß ich natürlich draußen auf der schönen Terrasse udn hatte mich aufrund der Artiek auf frischen Fisch gefreut. Enttäuscht sah ich auf der Karte nur Garnelen und Tintenfisch, natürlich neben Pasta und Burgern, etc. Also aß ich Garnelen, wirklich sehr gut, udn einen Cheeseburger -> So la la. Trotzdem ein sehr schönes Ambiente, flinker Service. Einziger Nachteil hier: Jede Bestellung wird sofort abkassiert. Das stört ein wenig. Später erfuhr ich, dass es drinnen eine andere Karte und auch den erwarteten Fisch gab. Schade, ich war schon satt. Dennoch gut zu empfehlen.
