Rifugio Emilio Comici In Selva di val gardena

We got lost in the middle of Route 526 (a loop trail of Sassolungo group mountains), and managed to get to the Hut at about 7:30 pm after struggle. The sky was already dark and the weather was cold then. We were exhausted (after almost 8 hours of walk) without much water left to make the way back to Passo Sella carpark. Upon arriving the entrance of the Hut (already closed for business), we saw someone came out of the Hut and we almost screamed for some assistance. We were grateful we were allowed to get in the Hut and to make use of washroom and the staff also filled up our water bottle. They pointed us the right path to the car park and assured that it was a relatively flat path which took just about 30 mins of walk. Finally we took the path in complete darkness only with the iphone light torch😅 We were really grateful for the help of the Hut staff👍👍

We shared a pasta and they also gave plenty of bread. It was delicious, cooked al dente and a nice vegan option unless you add the parm cheese they give. The view from this place was also wonderful!

An elegant refuge, or rather restaurant, at high altitude. Beautiful views, delicious steak with baked potatoes (the best I've ever had), excellent wines, and excellent service. It's a shame we arrived a little late to enjoy the 🌞 and the magnificent view. Definitely worth a try and return next time.

I've only seen the exterior and the bathrooms. The refuge is certainly well-maintained and maintained. In September, however, it remains in the shade in the afternoon. The 5-star view of the Sella massif is unparalleled.

A historic refuge that over the years has transformed into a luxury establishment, while maintaining its traditional style and timeless beauty. You can eat inside, and we had a truly delicious pasta dish and a platter of cured meats and cheeses accompanied by various types of bread. Everything was truly excellent. We sat at the tables inside, but there are also tables outside. The staff is welcoming, and the service is quite quick. Sometimes, during busy periods, you might find yourself without a table and have to wait a bit.

Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The refuge is reached after a pleasant walk. The food is excellent. Highly recommended. Average price per dish is 20-25 euros.

The unbeatable view of the Sella Pass and the delicious food are an excellent reward after the three-hour hike around the Sasso Lungo.
