Great!! Spacious room, balcony, shower, bidet. A slightly better mountain hut, right at a convenient starting point for beautiful hiking trails, via ferratas, and alpine routes. Accessible via two lifts, with a short walk between them. Or you can drive directly, provided you have a suitable vehicle (e.g., a Panda 4x4). There's also a parking space halfway there, and it's just a 45-minute walk. Wonderful food and service. Excellent value for money.

We stayed here overnight. All rooms have a bathroom with a shower, are relatively large, clean, and the beds are comfortable. Great outdoor area with an amazing view of the surrounding mountains. The food is excellent, with a delicious menu to choose from. The service was friendly and quick. From our perspective, we definitely recommend this place.

Great rifugio with beautiful trails nearby. We had a panoramic view from our room which was very large and comfortable and had a private bathroom. We hiked from this rifugio along a beautiful moderate trail with waterfalls / views to rifugio malga su (15 km which could be shorted to 13km with a chairlift of 11€) Great breakfast which actually had barista quality coffee and they made a great lunch package to take on the hike.

Albergo Genzianella Ristorante

22/10/2025: I have friends in Sappada, and I go there about once a year... The Genzianella Hotel has always been my favorite! Family-run and courteous!! Plus, it's excellent value for money! Stefano Fenara
13/08/2025: Lovely hotel, extremely clean and well-kept. The staff was exceptionally capable and welcoming. Having your own car is crucial as the public bus service is not convenient (as is the case in many mountain places, to be fair). Excellent value for price; we would absolutely return whenever possible.

Ristorante Lago Scin

09/08/2025: A small but very cute place. Friendly staff. The view isn't great, but it's worth a visit and a stop for lunch or dinner. Prices are a little high.
24/03/2025: Excellent food, but the portions are a bit small and the prices are steep. The apple fritters are excellent.
