Rifugio della Ninfa In Sestola

The refuge is in a strategic location, close to the "Passo del Lupo" ski lifts (a 1-minute drive). The refuge is immersed in nature and completely surrounded by snow. The facility is very welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent: well-stocked and everything was delicious. I would happily return to the Rifugio del Firenze Ninfa!

A treat... a very well-kept and clean environment... in the evening it feels like being in a fairy tale... Home-made and very well-prepared cooking... The owners are very attentive to the customer's well-being. I repeat, it is a treat.

Wonderful place immersed in the woods

This is the second year my daughters and I have visited the refuge during the winter. It's a charming place nestled in the woods, just a 5-minute walk from the slopes. The two sisters who run it are wonderful; the breakfast is delicious, catering to all tastes, and the food is beyond excellent. The rooms are warm and welcoming, and there's a small adjacent cabin used as a spa. I highly recommend it, and it will be a regular stop every year, even if it's just for one night.

Lovely tasting menu very well priced!!

A charming place that becomes a fairytale when immersed in snow, but the surrounding lighting could be more thoughtful to add a festive touch. The staff is very helpful but suffers (like many places) from a lack of generational change. The cuisine is surprisingly good, with both the presentation and the ingredients. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and warm, but WiFi isn't always available. The location is fantastic, as in the presence of natural snow, you can ski to and from the refuge, but for this very reason, you're forced to walk 100 meters from the parking lot to the facility, so be careful in snowy conditions! "Negative" notes: The road leading to the parking lot and the parking lot itself could be cleared of snow and ice, and the windows should be inspected for mold. Ultimately, it's a very charming and welcoming place, for those who can afford it, an oasis of peaceful silence and relaxation, suitable for families and couples alike.

We stayed for a weekend in this truly enchanting refuge, in a connecting double room with a jacuzzi. The location is enchanting, close to the lake, which can be reached via a slope. There are plenty of places nearby to sled with the kids. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The food was excellent, everything was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful. If I could just make one comment, especially for those coming with children, they would renovate the board games area, as most of them were broken or incomplete. And since it gets dark early in the winter, some entertainment is welcome. Overall, everything was perfect.

Wonderful refuge with welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff. Delicious breakfasts and dinners (seriously, from the fried polenta with Parmesan fondue to the must-try tasting menu and homemade tagliatelle—a special mention for the fried tortellini). The rooms are comfortable, renovated, new, and clean, and there's a Smart TV in the room. From the refuge, you can see the lake and some beautiful trails start there. We'll definitely be back.

It wasn't a vacation, but a true EXPERIENCE. Living at the Rifugio for a few days is a truly unique experience that I recommend to everyone, just steps from Lago della Ninfa—from families looking to escape the routine of their usual vacations, to couples seeking a romantic getaway, to solo travelers seeking to rediscover themselves while living in the woods. The location is ideal for reaching the ski slopes, very convenient for excursions, even for those like me who have an Apennine Passport 😉. The staff is extremely kind, the room cleaning service is excellent, and the cuisine literally made me dream, with a truly SPECTACULAR tasting menu. They also offer a traditional à la carte menu, and if you let them know, they also have a GLUTEN-FREE menu. The SPA area is located in a fully equipped wooden cabin just a few meters from the property, where you'll find a shower, a two-person hot tub, a sauna, herbal tea service, a minibar, and two lounge chairs. I had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.
