We stopped at Rifugio Capanna Tondi for lunch during a day of skiing, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The food was outstanding – the lamb chops were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, while the prawn gnocchi was fresh and incredibly delicious. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group with ease, ensuring we all felt welcome and well taken care of. On top of that, the views from the restaurant were simply breathtaking, making the whole meal even more memorable. Whether you’re skiing or just exploring the area, Rifugio Capanna Tondi is a must-visit spot. Great food, fantastic service, and stunning scenery – highly recommend!

The location of the refuge is enchanting with a view of the Ampezzo Dolomites. The staff is attentive and kind: a special mention for Eugenio who served us on the terrace. The menu offers typical dishes of the area, for example eggs, potatoes and speck, the mountaineer's dish (grilled polenta, mushrooms, sausage, cheese), spätzli with Gorgonzola fondue, etc. All very good, however the price is also adequate for the offer.
