Six people ate and stayed overnight on the MTB Transalp. Locked and weatherproof storage of bicycles is only possible for a few bikes (in the ski bar); additional bikes have to be stored in the "carport," a fairly open barn. Snow would certainly get on the bikes in snowfall, but in light rain they'd be relatively dry. Charging facilities (one socket each) are available, though. The food and service were excellent, and the location is fantastic! However, something komoot, for example, doesn't mention: the ascent from the Rio Gere parking lot or via Rifugio Faloria is technically easy throughout, but the final 50 meters are well over 20% steep (red ski slope) and are consistently loose scree. If you don't want to use the sensitive grassy areas, you'll have to push your bike. It's tough, but only for 5 minutes. The rooms—it's a mountain hut with thin walls—are small and cramped, but perfectly fine. There was even a TV and internet. One of our three double rooms has a double bed and a balcony, the others have single beds with a skylight.

An unforgettable culinary experience... after a long, scenic, and challenging hike!!!! The owner and staff were exceptional... Excellent dish with sausage, polenta, and mushrooms... Excellent desserts...the gluten-free tart with ground almonds and blueberry jam was special... The grappa flavored with various fruits is the specialty that defines the experience and the quality of the place!!! Due to unexpected adverse weather conditions, we were accompanied down to the valley in a Jeep Land Rover by the very kind refuge staff.

As part of a via ferrata tour, we stayed overnight at the Rifugio Capanna Tondi in a double room. The room with a balcony was very nice, the hosts were very friendly, and the dinner and breakfast were excellent! We also enjoyed the two lovely "hut dogs."
