December 14, 2025....I confirm what I wrote in previous reviews. A quaint atmosphere, a magical location, friendly service, and a very pleasant, plentiful, and tasty cuisine, with extremely fair prices. An old farmhouse from the late 18th century in the heart of the beautiful Lessinia mountains, about an hour's drive from Verona. You can arrive directly by car, but I recommend leaving it in the parking lot just outside the village of Erbezzo and walking up to the restaurant for about an hour, surrounded by a wonderful landscape. The cuisine is simple and traditional, offering a set menu featuring mountain gnocchi, an ancient dish made with flour and water and served with plenty of mountain butter; mixed grill, polenta, mountain cheese, water, wine, sbrisolona (a typical local cake with a "sandy" texture made with flour, eggs, butter, and sugar), and grappa (also useful for dipping the sbrisolona!) Coffee ☕️. Everything was excellent and the fixed price was €20.00.!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a mountain hut, so the decor is spartan but typically traditional, with benches and tables, a fireplace, and a counter. It seats about thirty people inside, with a much larger outdoor seating area in the warmer months. Service is usually available for lunch on weekends, so I always recommend booking. Highly recommended!

We visited Malga Maso in Erbezzo hoping for a relaxing day in the mountains, but the experience fell a little short of our expectations. The setting is truly lovely, no doubt about it: the surrounding nature is magnificent, and the property has a lot of potential. However, some aspects unfortunately fell short. The food was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. Simple dishes, sometimes a little too simple, especially considering the prices. The welcome was polite but a bit rushed, and the overall organization could be improved: longer wait times than expected and a few sloppy details that were immediately noticeable. It wasn't a bad experience, far from it, but let's just say we expected something more, both in terms of the food and the service. Malga clearly has potential, so we hope they can improve things, because the place itself truly deserves it. In the end, a pleasant day, but not exactly memorable.

The best of the best. This is a true mountain hut, one of the few remaining. The set menu is simple but delicious. Probably the best mountain hut gnocchi in the entire Lessina area. Highly recommended.

A magical, traditional place, worthy of protection and respect. Excellent service, ambiance, and value for money. We'll be back!
